Out of the Box | A New Crocheter in the House

### A new crocheter. Nope, not this girl. She's only been enjoying the yarns so far... My girl, Fluffy, is only here for optics. LOL. Hello, #NeedleWorkMonday Community. It's been *forever* since my post here in the community. I also don't think this is a "come-back" of sorts since I do not have the luxury of time to sit for any needlework project right now.  Anyway, about a week ago, my daughter dug my crochet box from my closet. She asked if she could use it, and since I had almost forgotten that I had this box, of course, I said "yes". Since then, she's burrowed her head into several little projects. A couple of years ago, I taught her the basics like chains, single and double crochet. This time, she did all her small projects independently (with the help of some youtube tutorials).  ### Little Miss' first small project. One day, Little Miss approached me to show that she was making a **leaf**. I am amazed at this girl's focus and ability to follow instructional videos and make this. I asked her what her plan about it was. I thought she was going to make a plant/flower project. Then she showed me this:  How cute! 😍 She attached her project to her headphone and here it is, *planted* on her head. LOL.  ### Oh, a pouch! Next, I saw her crocheting another piece. I had to tell her that she had to rest her eyes because she gets so hooked (pun intended) on her work. I asked her what she was doing and she said she wanted to make a small pouch that would be closed by a tie. This morning, she showed me her finished product. Cool, eh?! Maybe she can attach this flower she also previously made, though she didn't like it much. She said it was *ugly*. She always ended up with the wrong count after each round. LOL.  Here's her pouch tied close. Not yet perfect, but hey, not bad for an 11-year-old. She was also quite fast - she finished this in just 2 nights.  ### Hooked! She is my ever artistic and creative kid. If she's not on her drawing pad or her tablet, now she's hooked. I told her to *document* her process so she could perhaps share them again here on Hive, but she said she always forgets. LOL. Maybe next time. 😉 Anyway, putting her as the beneficiary account of this post just because it's her work. Until the next!
