Hello Hive
It's a beautiful Monday and the very first one in the month of August. I hope that the new month meet us well and that we are making the best use of our time.
Today's needlework project is a very simple one for me as I made this transparent ladies top to compliment one of my outfits. I have an important exam to catch up with towards the end of the month and I have been avoiding the pressure to take up more sewing projects from customers especially ones that the designs are demanding.
My neighbor insisted that I make her this simple tip as she has a beautiful camisole she wants to wear underneath it. Net laces makes beautiful wears if we know the right combinations of what to wear them with. What can a half meter of fabric sew?
I started by cutting the front block using a size 8 standard body measurements. The necklines is 4" width and 3.4" depth
Next I used the front piece to cut the back pattern and created a keyhole at the back for easy passage of one head since there will be no zipper on the top.
I was left with very small pieces of the fabric and I knew that a flair sleeve will fit better on this compared to a straight one.
And since I wasn't giving any specific design to see I went on to cut out these two flair.
My neighbors trust me with their clothes most time and the designs I make for this. Most times they just ask me to think of something and that they are fine with whatever I come up with.
For the sewing I started by turning the necklines with bias of similar color and then the hem of the sleeves as well.
After then I then joined the seam likes from the shoulder down to the full length of the top.
Next I stitched in the flair sleeves and had since been expecting power supply to iron these out. She will be needing blouse by evening and I hope that I would have gotten power supply by then. For now I want to relax a little with my crochet as I have been learning how to use the hook recently after which I can stick with some studies before the day is over.
