Diy women's headwear, Cutting Cost via less expensive means to meet our needs

Hello Hive.

Some basic items and cosmetics are a need for women. It is important to purchase and wear the items or clothing materials that make us feel comfortable while going out or even when at home.

Among some of the very necessary wears for ladies are towels, bathrobes, and hair bonnets, among others. While some ladies are fortunate to have a lineup or multiple changes, these other girls find it difficult to have access to these items.

Having these personal clothes isn't enough; they have to be cleaned and replaced on a consistent basis. Having discarded my last hair bonnet, I haven't had the time to replace it until now. As of yesterday, I was experiencing so much discomfort with my hair, having fixed a very long attachment that keeps wiping my back. I so much wished and desired the comfort of packing my hair to enjoy some good sleep, but with every minute I make a turn on the bed, the packed doughnut hair loosens and continues to wipe my body. Attachments can be so discomforting when they touch our skin, yet they're part of women's fashion. We wear them elegantly when going out and desire that they stay neatly packed when we are at home.

I am not going to let another night meet me with such discomfort, and instead of purchasing some expensive hairnet/bonnet at the store, I decided to see if I can try my hand at sewing some designs.

With the smallest of satin fabrics or any fabric you find comfortable and that wouldn't heat up your head, you can decide to use it.

I later realized that the 8inches I had cut here wasn't enough to contain the mass of my current hairstyles. At least 12" should be the basic requirements to make this.

I started by cutting a flair/circle design of 8" after folding the fabric into 4.

Next I measured out the 4 lengths of my head circumference and used it to cut out a band of 4" here. 22" head circumference

I decided to add some hairstays to the band to give it some firmness on the head.

Then I created a notch on the flair and attached the band round it.

Right on the band I stitched in some press buttons for anyone to be able to adjust the hair bonnet to the size of their head.

Rather than leaving it plain and unattractive, I sewed this tiny bow and stitched it to the bonnet to add some light to it since wearing something colorful and attractive is an attribute of women. I hope that this will keep my hair in check for me to have a comfortable night's rest while rocking my long braids.

It's a simple DIY tutorial and very cost-saving. The satin fabric to make this will sell for half a dollar, and it takes about an hour to make this. Purchasing this can be as expensive as $2-3; you can see how much I have saved for choosing to sew this myself.

One can decide to purchase colorful fabrics and fabrics that make you comfortable while sewing a bonnet or sew some large quantities of this for sale in places where there is market for it.
