Iβve always wanted to make a refillable crochet car freshener, so I decided to try it today.
I chose a peach design because the colour is soft and calming, not too bright or distracting while driving. It also fits nicely with fresh scents like citrus or mint.
I made the design myself. Inside, I added a small pouch that I can refill with essential oils or herbs. There's a small opening so I can change the scent whenever I like.
Itβs simple, cute, and useful for hanging in the car. closet, or anywhere you want a burst of freshness!

π Leaf (Crochet)
With green yarn:
Ch 8, starting in 2nd ch from hook:
sl st, sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, sl st
ch 1, rotate, work on the other side of the chain:
sl st, sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, sl st

π± Stem
With brown yarn:
Ch 4, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and each remaining ch.
Fasten off, leave a tail to attach at the top of the peach.
π§· Assembly
Sew the leaf and stem to the top centre.
Using a similarly coloured thread, make an indentation across the body to mimic the shape of a peach.
Like so.
Make a chain out of the long end.
Using a small pouch (I used netting from garlic), fill it with assorted dried flowers or leaves.
Add a few drops of essential oil of your choice if you prefer a stronger scent. I like using orange and mint.
Tie the pouch.
Then tuck it inside the peach through the back slit for a refreshing, refillable scent.
A refillable peach car freshener!
I could smell the freshness!
I hung it in the car, and I was very pleased with it.
Have a lovely day,
