Today, I wanted to make a pair of dangling earrings that incorporated the beautiful colors of my country Venezuela's national flag. I trusted the process to see what design would result, and I'll share the experience with you.

Hola a mis queridos Hivers y a la querida comunidad de artistas #HiveDIY, como siempre muy complacida y emocionada de encontrarme por acá nuevamente, mostrándole mi trabajo hecho con mucho amor y especialmente para ustedes.

Para hoy quise realizar un par de aretes colgantes a los cuales les quise incluir los colores hermosos del tricolor nacional de mi país Venezuela, fui confiando en el proceso para ver qué diseño resultaba y les dejo la experiencia.

Esperando que sea de su agrado, les dejo mi proceso creativo:

• Start by taking a 3 mm wide yellow quilling strip. Using the quilling needle, roll up the entire strip until you reach the end. Remove it from the needle, loosen it slightly, and seal it with extra-strong white glue to form an open circle. You will need two identical circles.
• Using the same parameters as above, make two open circles with 3 mm wide blue tape, and then make two more with red tape.
• Shape the circles as shown in the image, then glue them in groups of 3, yellow, blue, and red.

• Comenzamos tomando cinta para quilling amarilla de 3 mm de ancho, con la aguja para quilling vamos a enrollar toda la cinta hasta llegar al final de la misma, sacamos de la aguja soltamos un poco, y sellamos con pega blanca extra fuerte hasta conseguir un círculo abierto. Necesitaremos dos iguales.
• Bajo los mismos parámetros anteriores realizaremos dos círculos abiertos con cinta azul de 3 mm de ancho, y así mismo realizaremos dos más con cinta de color rojo.
• Moldearemos los círculos tal y como pueden ver en la imagen, luego los pegaremos en grupos de 3, amarillo, azul y rojo.

• Take the assembled piece and wrap a white ribbon around it, leaving a small section free at the top. Take the quilling needle and roll this section into a small circle.
• Apply several layers of extra-strong white glue, allowing each layer to dry before applying the next, to protect and laminate the piece.
• Using pearl-colored cold paint, I proceeded to apply a few touches to the piece.
• To finish, I decorated it with three white half-pearls, added the respective bases for dangling earrings, and placed a yellow, blue, and red pearl on each to make them more eye-catching. I added the respective ring to the tricolor earring I made to attach the base.

In this way, I finished this pair of dangling earrings, which feature the colors of my national flag, using the quilling technique.

• Tomaremos la pieza unida y le pasaremos una cinta blanca alrededor dejando en la parte de arriba un trozo libre, tomaremos la aguja para quilling y enrollaremos este trozo realizando un pequeño círculo.
• Aplique varias capas de pega blanca extra fuerte dejándose secar entre una capa y otra, esto para proteger y plastificar la pieza.
• Con pintura al frío color perlado, procedí a aplicar algunos toques a la pieza.
• Para finalizar decoré con 3 medias perlas de color blanco, le puse sus respectivas bases para zarcillos colgantes, a las cuales les coloque una perla amarilla, azul, y rojo para darle mayor vistosidad, le puse su respectiva argolla al arete tricolor que realicé, para enganchar su base.

De esta manera finalice este par de zarcillos colgantes a los cuales incluí los colores de mi tricolor nacional, en la técnica de técnica de quilling.
