Greetings friends. I recently finished my first stage of Pokémons, the first part of a collection I'm putting together.

Well, today I start another stage of this collection just like that time, with another fossil type Pokémon, being one of the most interesting and curious for me, Kabuto.
I must say that he is neither the prettiest nor the most intimidating, but he is cute in his own way and I like him. That's why I would like you to join me in the step by step of such a cute Pokémon.

I will make the little Kabuto with plasticine. It's a small Pokémon so it doesn't need a wire frame, although it does need some bits of wire to attach the little legs. However, it is all plasticine and glue.
As you can see in the image below, there are all the colors of play dough I used.

I started working on what would be the lower part of its body; that is, the dark part, what is downwards.
It is the opposite side of its shell, so starting with this base helps me to know the size that I will make the upper shell, since it is bigger than the black mass that you can see in the image below.
I made it with a rounded shape, although a little more elongated, so it is not a perfect circle.

After that I started working on the little legs. I made them with yellow plasticine, there are four in total and they are shaped like hooks.
Each paw is divided into three sections that are folded inward. To make it clear, if we bend the index finger in the shape of a hook, it has the same shape that Kabuto's paws would have.

The upper armor I made with brown plasticine, a little bigger than the black mass, that is, the lower part of Kabuto's body.
The idea is that the edge protrudes around the black dough, so that's what I did.
In the image below you can see all the pieces of the character, still unassembled.

Well, the assembly process began. The first thing I did was to join the pieces of the upper shell and the black mass of the lower part.
In the image below you can clearly see what I mentioned before about the size of the shell with respect to the other piece, being this one bigger, so that its edges protrude around the dark part.

For the legs I would need wire, as I mentioned at the beginning.
In total I cut four small pieces of similar size.
All the wire pieces were bent at the ends, so that they would be used to attach the two pieces, the legs and the body.

This is how I fixed each paw in its place, being the lower paws the ones that would be used for the character to stand up.
On the other hand, I glued the eyes a little higher than the legs, almost in the same direction.

Well friends, so begins the second phase of this collection, the next Pokémon figurine I will make will be a plant type.
