Greetings friends. The other day I received an order, a collection of Sanrio figurines. Although many know the most famous characters, I wanted to start with one that is quite popular and in fact the favorite of the person who placed the order, it is Pompompurin. Although almost all the characters are simple in appearance, it is not easy to take them from 2D to 3D. That's why I would like to invite you to join me in the creative process of the first of these figurines... >># Español >>Saludos amigos. El otro día me hicieron un pedido, un ser de colección de figuritas de Sanrio. Aunque muchos conocen a los personajes más famosos, yo quise comenzar por uno que es bastante popular y de hecho el favorito de quién me encargó el pedido, se trata de Pompompurin. >> >>Aunque casi todos los personajes son de apariencia sencilla, no es del todo fácil llevarlos de 2D al 3D. Por eso me gustaría invitarlos a acompañarme en el proceso creativo de la primera de estas figuritas...  # Step by step To begin the step by step, first I must tell you about the materials I used: * Plasticine * Wire * Glue These materials, although few, are just enough and necessary for this doll. >># Paso a paso >>Para comenzar el paso a paso, primero debo comentarles los materiales que utilicé: >> >>* Plastilina >>* Alambre >>* Pegamento >> >>Estos materiales, aunque pocos, son los justos y necesarios para este muñequito.  As you can see, the plasticine I used for this doll is not of a single color, but of several colors and, in fact, the colors of Pompompurin itself, so it will not be necessary to use paint to color it later. Well, I took the yellow plasticine and began to mold the main part, that is, the whole body. I made this shape by molding the plasticine until I got something similar to the plastic capsule that is inside a Kinder Surprise egg, the one that contains the toy. Yes, this is basically the shape I made, as you can see in the image: >>Como pueden ver, la plastilina que usé para este muñeco no es de un solo color, sino de varios colores y; de hecho, los colores del propio Pompompurin, por lo que no será necesario usar pintura para colorearlo después. >> >>Pues bien, tomé la plastilina amarilla y comencé a moldear la parte principal, es decir, todo el cuerpo. Está forma la hice moldeando la plastilina hasta lograr algo parecido a la cápsula de plástico que está dentro de un huevo Kinder Sorpresa, la que contiene el juguete. Pues sí, básicamente está es la forma que hice, tal como se ve en la imagen:  After molding this main shape, I began to mold the legs, which are small balls of the same yellow plasticine. The ears, on the other hand, are two rather long sticks of the same color. >>Después de moldear está forma principal, comencé a moldear las patas, las cuales son pequeñas bolitas de la misma plastilina amarilla. >> >>Las orejas, por otra parte, son dos bastoncitos bastante largos del mismo color. ||| |-|-| All these pieces I started to glue them to the main body using small pieces of wire and glue to fix them firmly in place. Wait for the glue to dry before continuing. >>Todas estas piezas comencé a pegarlas al cuerpo principal usando trocitos de alambre y pegamento para fijarlos firmemente en su sitio. Hay que esperar a que el pegamento se seque para continuar.  It is worth mentioning that I also made the face with plasticine, black in this case. All the dots and even the smile lines were made with this material. >>Cabe destacar que la cara también la hice con plastilina, de color negro en este caso. Todos los puntos y hasta las líneas de la sonrisa las hice con este material.  This character has two accessories. Actually he has many, but in this case he only has two: his brown beret and a chocolate chip cookie. The first item I made with a dark brown, while the cookie I also made with brown, only with a lighter one. >>Este personaje tiene dos accesorios. En realidad tiene muchos, pero en este caso solo lleva dos: su boina marrón y una galleta de chispas de chocolate. >> >>La primera prenda la hice con un marrón oscuro, mientras que la galleta la hice también con marrón, solo que con uno más claro. ||| |-|-| ||| |-|-| I started gluing all these accessories to the body of the character as I was gluing the limbs in place. As I said, I let each piece glue before continuing with the next one. >>Todos estos accesorios los comencé a pegar en el cuerpo del personaje a medida que iba pegando las extremidades en su sitio. Cómo dije, dejé que cada pieza pegará antes de continuar con la siguiente.   Once the glue dried and all the pieces were in place, the figurine was finished.
