Hello dear friends of the community, happy day to all of you. I want to share with you a beautiful dress that I reused and decorated for an educational exhibition, using simple materials and other recycled items. I didn't take many photos because it was a rush job; the person who commissioned it needed it urgently, so I took few photos, but I still want you to see the result and appreciate it and tell me what you think. Finally, it's the first time I've made one, and I was delighted with it. The theme was nature and natural symbols.
First, I made many crepe paper flowers, as they would adorn most of the dress. I cut out five circles, which I shaped with my scissors, and stapled them on the back. Finally, I shaped the petals so that they were raised and bulging.
Then I took one of the girl's dresses. It was old and I was going to recycle it, so I didn't mind damaging it with the glue. Once it was ready, I started gluing the paper flowers on, only from the waist down so that it would look like a tree or bush.
Once the bottom was ready, I continued decorating the top. As the mother had suggested that it should feature natural symbols, so in one corner of the dress I glued several dried hooks to represent the stem of the araguaney tree. I glued it slightly to the side so that the flowers of the tree would be located on the girl's shoulder. Then, on the top part, I glued yellow crepe paper, which would be the flowers of our beautiful tree. Just like at the beginning, we are going to shape the flowers. We used five pieces, rolled them up, stapled them, and shaped the petals upward, which I glued to the top. For the bottom, I used stones, which I also glued to a corner.
For the other side of the dress, at the top, I continued gluing an orchid, which will face downwards. At the bottom, towards the stones, I glued an adorable Turpial bird perched on some stones, with a brown foam stem around the edge.
That's how I made this beautiful dress, which I titled "Nature and Natural Symbols." I hope you like this design and can make it at home to complete your assigned tasks like this princess.
