Welcome to my art blog! I'm Lorentm, a passionate digital artist, and today I’m beyond excited to share with all of you my latest creation based on a character from @holozing. This piece is part of my new series focused on medieval-themed healers, inspired by the artistic initiative led by @acidyo to encourage the creation of themed collections. This time, I bring you my fifth character: the male forest healer, rendered in anime style.
He’s a character that I truly enjoyed bringing to life. When I imagined him, I saw someone deeply connected to nature, calm yet powerful, a guardian of life hidden among the trees. His essence is in balance and renewal, someone who speaks the language of the forest with every breath. Working on him felt like a peaceful walk through a quiet woodland trail.
The idea of giving him a serene but confident aura was my main goal. I wanted to transmit that he’s not just a healer, but also a guide, someone who listens to nature and translates it into healing for others. His youthful and warm expression, along with his rustic outfit, help tell this story.
Each element of this artwork was carefully designed to evoke his role in the forest world. I invite you to take a look at the details and let your imagination walk through the woods with him.
> ¡Bienvenidos a mi blog de arte! Soy Lorentm, una artista digital apasionada, y hoy estoy muy emocionada de compartir con ustedes mi más reciente creación basada en un personaje de @holozing. Esta pieza forma parte de mi nueva serie dedicada a sanadores con estética medieval, una idea inspirada en la iniciativa artística promovida por @acidyo para fomentar la creación de colecciones temáticas. En esta ocasión les presento a mi quinto personaje: el sanador del bosque, con un estilo anime.
> Es un personaje que disfruté mucho crear. Al imaginarlo, visualicé a alguien profundamente conectado con la naturaleza, tranquilo pero con una fuerza interior, un guardián de la vida escondido entre los árboles. Su esencia está en el equilibrio y la renovación, alguien que habla el lenguaje del bosque con cada respiro. Trabajar en él fue como caminar en silencio por un sendero lleno de árboles.
> Transmitir una aura serena pero segura era mi principal objetivo. Quería que se notara que no solo es un sanador, sino también un guía, alguien que escucha a la naturaleza y la convierte en sanación para otros. Su expresión cálida y juvenil, junto con su atuendo rústico, ayudan a contar esa historia.
> Cada elemento de esta ilustración fue diseñado cuidadosamente para evocar su papel en el mundo del bosque. Te invito a observar los detalles y dejar que tu imaginación camine junto a él por entre los árboles.
Now, let’s talk about the design of the character. The forest healer has green and golden tousled hair, resembling fresh foliage touched by sunlight. His eyes reflect kindness and wisdom, like someone who has learned to heal by observing the rhythms of nature. A wooden crown made of intertwined twigs rests on his head, symbolizing his deep bond with the forest.
He wears a light beige tunic adorned with a clover emblem, which represents life, balance, and good fortune. Over this, he carries a green cloak with brown trimming, blending naturally with the forest environment. The leather straps, gloves, and belt all emphasize a medieval and practical aesthetic.
In his right hand, he holds a rustic wooden staff, not as a weapon, but as a conduit for channeling the healing energy of nature. His satchel hangs by his side, filled with herbs, tinctures, and remedies he collects on his journeys. Each accessory tells a piece of his story, a healer wandering through forest paths.
His entire appearance was built to harmonize with the natural world. He is not flashy, but humble and earthy, blending seamlessly with the leaves and shadows around him.
> Ahora, hablemos del diseño del personaje. El sanador del bosque tiene un cabello alborotado en tonos verdes y dorados, que recuerda al follaje fresco tocado por la luz del sol. Sus ojos reflejan amabilidad y sabiduría, como alguien que ha aprendido a sanar observando los ritmos de la naturaleza. En su cabeza lleva una corona de ramas entrelazadas, símbolo de su profundo vínculo con el bosque.
> Viste una túnica beige clara adornada con un trébol, emblema que representa la vida, el equilibrio y la buena fortuna. Encima lleva una capa verde con bordes marrones, que lo hace fusionarse de forma natural con su entorno forestal. Los cinturones, guantes y correas de cuero refuerzan una estética medieval y funcional.
> En su mano derecha sostiene un bastón de madera rústico, no como arma, sino como canal de la energía curativa de la naturaleza. A su costado cuelga una alforja con hierbas, tinturas y remedios que recoge en sus viajes. Cada accesorio cuenta una parte de su historia: un sanador que recorre los caminos del bosque.
> Su apariencia entera fue diseñada para estar en armonía con el mundo natural. No es ostentoso, sino humilde y terrenal, fusionándose con las hojas y sombras a su alrededor.

The digital drawing process was both fun and relaxing. It all began with the sketch, where I focused on capturing his gentle stance and relaxed posture. I paid special attention to proportion and flow, making sure he looked approachable and kind.
Once I had the lines in place, I moved on to the lineart. This stage is always where the character truly starts taking form. I used soft but defined strokes, making sure the natural textures, like the leaves and branches in his crown, stood out.
Next came the coloring stage, where I chose an earthy palette—greens, browns, beiges—to stay true to the forest theme. The colors brought warmth and connection to nature, making the character feel grounded and real.
After the base colors, I added shadows to bring depth to the cloak, the folds of his clothing, and the shadows on his face. This step helped create the mood of the artwork and emphasized the light coming through the forest.
Then, I worked on the highlights—soft touches of light on the hair, the staff, and the edges of the fabric. This gave him a subtle glow, as if the sun were shining gently through the trees and illuminating him.
Finally, I created the background. I opted for a soft forest setting with leafy plants and cloud-like skies, giving the whole piece a peaceful and magical feeling. The background enhances the harmony of the scene and frames the healer in his natural home.
> El proceso del dibujo digital fue divertido y relajante. Todo comenzó con el boceto, donde me enfoqué en capturar su postura suave y relajada. Presté especial atención a la proporción y al flujo del cuerpo, asegurándome de que se viera accesible y amable.
> Una vez que tuve el trazo base, pasé al delineado. Esta etapa siempre es donde el personaje comienza realmente a tomar forma. Usé líneas suaves pero definidas, asegurándome de que las texturas naturales, como las ramas de su corona, resaltaran.
> Luego llegó la etapa del color, donde elegí una paleta de tonos tierra: verdes, marrones y beige, para mantenerme fiel al tema del bosque. Los colores aportaron calidez y conexión con la naturaleza, haciendo que el personaje se sintiera auténtico.
> Después de aplicar los colores base, agregué sombras para dar profundidad a la capa, los pliegues de la ropa y los contornos del rostro. Este paso ayudó a establecer la atmósfera de la ilustración y a resaltar la luz que se filtra entre los árboles.
> Seguidamente, trabajé los brillos: toques suaves de luz en el cabello, el bastón y los bordes de la tela. Esto le dio un resplandor sutil, como si el sol lo iluminara suavemente a través del follaje.
> Finalmente, creé el fondo. Opté por un entorno boscoso suave, con plantas frondosas y cielos tipo nubes, dándole a toda la pieza una sensación de paz y magia. El fondo realza la armonía de la escena y enmarca al sanador en su hogar natural.
