Good morning, dear readers of #Hive. Happy Monday to everyone, and I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Your friend Manuel here greets you with a new opportunity, super happy to bring you a new post for my art blog. This time, I wanted to start my week with a representation of the game #Holozing, and I decided to feature two of my favorite characters from the game: The Light Healer and the fire-type dragon (Emberion). My idea was basically that the Light Healer was walking along a kind of mountain path when, out of nowhere, a small, lively fire-type dragon (Emberion) appeared in front of her in its baby stage, flying in front of her eyes, while small flames of fire sprouted from its body.

Esta vez quise empezar mi semana con una representación sobre el juego #Holozing, y decidí darles protagonismo a 2 de mis personajes favoritos del juego como lo son La Sanadora de la Luz y el dragón de tipo fuego (Emberion); mi idea era básicamente que la Sanadora de la luz se encontrara caminando por una especie de sendero montañoso cuando de la nada se apareció frente a ella un pequeño y vivas dragón de tipo fuego (Emberion) en etapa bebe volando frente a sus ojos, mientras pequeñas flamas de fuego brotan de su cuerpo*

PROCESS / PROCESO
Well, to start with my sketch, I decided that both characters would be right in the center of my canvas, staring at each other, as if their paths had just crossed by chance. Once I had the sketch ready, I was able to devote myself to the process of coloring the Light Healer, and here I wanted to take my time. I usually like to start the base of my characters' skin with some reddish or orange tones. In this case, the oranges predominated in the texture of the skin on the face, and with the red tones I took care to give warmth to the middle area, the cheeks, nose, eyelids, and so on.
>*Pues para empezar con mi boceto me propuse que ambos personajes estuviesen justo en la parte central de mi lienzo viéndose fijamente la una a la otra, como si se acabarán de cruzar casualmente sus caminos. Luego de tener el boceto listo pude dedicarme ya al proceso de coloreado de la Sanadora de la luz, y aquí si quise tomarme mi tiempo, por lo general me gusta empezar la base de la piel de mis personajes con algunos tonos rojizos o naranjas, en este caso los naranjas predominaron en la textura de la piel del rostro, y con los tonos rojos me encargue de darle calidez a la zona media, las mejillas, nariz, parpados y demás.*
With the eyes, my idea was for the Healer character to convey a young and tender personality, and that despite having a dragon in front of her, she is not afraid of it. For the base of the eyes, I used grays, then to detail and define the iris and pupils well, I used soft yellow and orange tones to create a striking golden gaze. For the hair, I wanted a medium-length style, so with the help of grays, purples, and a little yellow, I created an updo with a bun at the back of her head. Using my 3-pointed brush, I worked on the texture of the strands little by little and with patience to achieve a good finish.
>*Con el trabajo de los ojos mi idea era que el personaje de la Sanadora trasmitiese una personalidad joven y tierna, y que a pesar de tener un dragón frente a ella aun si no le teme, para la base de los ojos use grises, luego para detallar y definir bien el iris y las pupilas use tonos amarillos y naranjas suaves formando una mirada dorada full llamativa. Para el pelo quise una cabellera a estilo media, con ayuda de los grises, morados y un poco de amarillo cree un peinado recogido con un moño detrás de su cabeza, y con mi pince de 3 puntas trabaje la textura de los mechones poco a poco y con paciencia para lograr un buen acabado.*
To create the dragon (Emberion), I had to search my color palette for a good range of saturated tones. Using intermediate red tones, I created the base of the little dragon's body. In this case, I used the airbrush brush to give shape and volume to the creature's body, as well as some musculature in the biceps, thighs, and chest areas. For the small wings that form part of the creature's arms, I used orange and pink tones to give the wings a slightly different texture and thus be able to give them a little movement later on. Around the dragon, I wanted to add small flames or bursts of fire sprouting from the creature's body. For this, I used my cloud brush with reddish and yellow tones, alternating a little and blending until I achieved the effect of heat that I wanted.
>*Para la creación del dragón (Emberion) debí buscar en mi paleta de colores una buena gama de tonos saturados, con tonos rojos intermedios cree la base del cuerpo del pequeño dragón, en este caso ocupe el pincel de aerógrafo para darle forma y volumen al cuerpo de la criatura, así como cierta musculatura en la zona de los bíceps, muslos y pecho. En el caso de las pequeñas alas que forman parte de los brazos de la criatura use tonos naranjas y rosados para que las alas tuviesen una textura un poco diferente y así poder darles un poco de movimiento más adelante. Alrededor del dragón quise agregar pequeñas flamas o llamaradas brotando del cuerpo de la criatura, para esto usé mi pincel de nubes con tonos mas rojizos y amarillos alternando un poco y difuminando hasta lograr ese efecto de calor que yo quería.*
