¿Cómo se puede empezar a ser agradecido en la vida? Sin duda, con una sonrisa y una mano alzada al cielo, hablando con fe a Dios y agradeciéndole su amor y compasión por la vida que me ha dado y por las personas con las que me ha permitido rodearme desde mi infancia.

Dar gracias es, sin duda, un acto que libera poder y una sonrisa por todo lo que nos rodea.

Mi gratitud a dos personas especiales a quienes Dios permitió unirse en matrimonio y traerme a este mundo. Agradezco a mis padres por el intenso amor que los unió, y como resultado de ese amor, nací en este mundo y en la vida que Dios quería para mí.

A mis padres, quienes ya no están en este mundo, pero en la presencia de Dios, les agradezco su amor, su vida, su paciencia, su dedicación, su esfuerzo y sus sacrificios por mí, desde mi infancia hasta que me dieron la gran oportunidad de ingresar a la universidad y convertirme en docente. Agradezco a mis padres y hermanos por su gran apoyo y amor incondicional.
Agradezco a todos mis maestros, desde la primaria hasta la universidad, quienes de una u otra manera tuvieron una influencia positiva, inculcándome principios, valores, enseñanzas y lecciones de vida que moldearon mi pasado, presente y futuro. A todos esos maravillosos maestros, a los que siguen vivos y a los que ya no están conmigo, mi más sincera gratitud por su amor y dedicación para formarme como profesional de la docencia.
Agradezco a mi familia, especialmente a mis hermanos, por permitirme aprender de ellos los lazos fraternales, la convivencia, la solidaridad y, sobre todo, el principio de la reconciliación, ya que en cada momento de discusión o desacuerdo, terminábamos arrepentidos y rápidamente unidos en el vínculo de la hermandad. A mi familia, gracias y gracias infinita por todo lo que pude aprender de ellos.
Agradezco a todos mis amigos, desde la infancia hasta la universidad, y especialmente a los amigos que compartieron conmigo momentos inolvidables en el trabajo y en esos momentos de enfermedad en los que estuvieron presentes y fueron tan amables como verdaderos hermanos.

Agradezco profundamente a Dios por permitirme trabajar en una de las empresas líderes de mi país, Venezuela, donde tuve la gran oportunidad de tener una mejor calidad de vida, no solo para mí, sino para toda mi familia. Agradezco a PDVSA por permitirme comprar mi vivienda habitual para mi familia, por brindarles mejores condiciones de salud, educación, alimentación y, sobre todo, un gran bienestar social.

¿Cómo no agradecer a Dios por mi trabajo, donde pude trabajar durante 27 años en esa prestigiosa empresa y ganarme mi jubilación, con la que tengo un ingreso mensual que me permite un nivel de vida aceptable en medio de una crisis galopante que asola a un país? Sin embargo, debo mostrar mi gratitud y agradecer por lo que tengo, no por lo que me falta.

¿Cómo no agradecer a la plataforma Hive cuando, en cada momento libre de mi vida como jubilado, me permite expresar y compartir mis experiencias con lectores y usuarios tan importantes que interactúan en la plataforma y me permiten aprender de ellos, llevando así una vida de interacción dinámica a través de las redes sociales?

### The power of gratitude
#
How can one begin to be grateful in life? Without a doubt, with a smile and a hand raised to heaven, speaking with faith to God and thanking Him for His love and compassion for the life He has given me and for the people He has allowed me to surround myself with since my childhood.

Giving thanks is, without a doubt, an act that unleashes power and a smile for everything around us.
#
My gratitude to two special people whom God allowed to unite in marriage and bring me into this world. I thank my parents for the intense love that united them, and as a result of that love, I was born into this world and into the life God intended for me.
#
To my parents, who are no longer in this world, but in the presence of God, I thank them for their love, their life, their patience, their dedication, their effort, and their sacrifices for me, from my childhood until they gave me the great opportunity to enter university and become a teacher. I thank my parents and siblings for their great support and unconditional love.
I am grateful to all my teachers, from elementary school to college, who in one way or another had a positive influence, instilling in me principles, values, teachings, and life lessons that shaped my past, present, and future. To all those wonderful teachers, to those who are still alive and to those who are no longer with me, my most sincere gratitude for their love and dedication to training me as a teaching professional.
I am grateful to my family, especially my siblings, for allowing me to learn from them the bonds of brotherhood, coexistence, solidarity, and, above all, the principle of reconciliation, since in every moment of argument or disagreement, we ended up repentant and quickly united in the bond of brotherhood. To my family, thank you, infinite thanks for everything I was able to learn from them.
I am grateful to all my friends, from childhood to college, and especially to the friends who shared unforgettable moments with me at work and during those times of illness when they were present and as kind as true brothers.

I deeply thank God for allowing me to work for one of the leading companies in my country, Venezuela, where I had the great opportunity to have a better quality of life, not only for myself, but for my entire family. I thank PDVSA for allowing me to buy my family's primary residence, for providing them with better healthcare, education, food, and, above all, great social well-being.

How can I not thank God for my job, where I was able to work for 27 years at that prestigious company and earn my retirement, with which I have a monthly income that allows me an acceptable standard of living in the midst of a rampant crisis ravaging a country? However, I must show my gratitude and be thankful for what I have, not for what I lack.

How can I not thank the Hive platform when, in every free moment of my life as a retiree, it allows me to express and share my experiences with such important readers and users who interact on the platform and allow me to learn from them, thus leading a life of dynamic interaction through social media?
