### ¡Doctor, doctor! Desde preescolar... *Mis primeras Aspasias, en relación con la carrera que estudié, fueron mis dos abuelas.* La materna jamás me dijo que debía ser médico; aunque, de hecho, hoy en día ella tuviera tres nietos de tal profesión. *Pero después de que me regalaron como a los 4 años, un equipo médico de plástico, de juguete; y de ver mi afición por andar introduciéndole la inyectadora que traía el juego a todos, al perro, la gallina, al conejo, a mis primos, a un oso de plástico que me habían regalado cuando más pequeño, ella decidió construirme una pequeña casita en su patio y colocarle un cartelón que decía: **Emilio José. Doctor en Medicina**, para que jugara en mis visitas de vacaciones.* Si bien pudo haber colocado enfermería, puesto que me encantaba inyectar, la definición del cartelón generó decisiones posteriores. Mi abuela paterna, por otro lado, cuando se acercaba el momento de decidir qué carrera elegir, sí me dijo claramente que ella siempre había querido un nieto médico; y considetrando que somos de un pequeño y empobrecido pueblo de pescadores... Pero después de tener hasta un consultorio de juguete y de participar en el equipo de los Primeros Auxilios del instituto donde estudié, no hubo que pensar en la decisión. *Y nunca pensé en estudiar otra cosa; y aún hoy en día, de no haber sido médico, no sé qué pude haber sido.* Esas fueron mis Aspasias, porque mi padre y mi madre, bajo ningún concepto, me forzaron absolutamente a nada, pues mi padre me enseñó que el camino era lograr tener un oficio con que independizarme y mi madre, pues, no se quedó atrás respecto a esa misma opinión.  > * [Pixabay-Geralt](https://pixabay.com/es/photos/red-planeta-hombre-smartphone-3154902/) * ### ¿Una pequeña encuesta? Ya hace semanas que escuché este relato sobre *Pericles, Aspasia, Sócrates y el nacimiento de la democracia en la Grecia antigua*, y sí, me quedó la necesidad de investigar. Me gusta que mis pacientes agradezcan lo que tienen y, si estos reconocían sus Aspasias o Aspasios, los que les habían ayudado a obtener los logros que tenían, podían reconocer entonces, en los otros, tanto de lo que en realidad somos. *Comprendo que mucha gente tiene desafíos, pero una de las razones por las que realizamos **[la libre asociación de ideas que trabajamos en mi última iniciativa](https://peakd.com/hive-131951/@emiliorios/para-conocernos-mas-iniciativa-21-de-septimo-dia-la-libre-asociacion-de-ideas-elige-una-imagen-esen)**, la cual aún está vigente, es para que la gente descubra lo positivo que hay en su vida, lo que le hace sonreír, como le pasó a @germanandradeg y a otros que han participado en ella; y evocar las decisiones buenas que han tomado y que les han ocasionado beneficios y un excelente desarrollo; despertar lo bueno.* Ahora, he intentado agregarle el reconocimiento de aquellas personas que han estado detrás de estas buenas decisiones para activar el agradecimiento; y, salvo un solo paciente, todos han logrado perfilar la figura que han tenido detrás, en la mujer. Y créanme, ***no solo son madres y abuelas, sino también maestras, profesoras, tías y hasta primas, que he visto involucradas en las buenas decisiones y en los logros que han tenido muchos de ellos.*** Si dije que un paciente no, es porque, a pesar de todo lo que hablamos en consulta buscando Aspasias, lo que conseguimos fueron Aspasios.  > * [Pixabay-Geralt](https://pixabay.com/es/illustrations/hombre-tableta-centrado-digital-9668390/) * ### Ser agradecidos y reconociendo *Todos hablamos de nuestros logros; la gente habla de sus logros, nos felicitamos entre nosotros por ellos; pero, pocos hablamos de la gente que está detrás de una profesión, o emprendimiento, o sueño logrado.* Hay padres, hermanos, maestros, tutores, guías, detrás de una decisión bien tomada que genera ingreso, estabilidad y bienestar. Si, hay personas que señalan caminos, que iluminan, que están allí presentes, apoyándonos, guiándonos o dándonos información contextualizada sobre la vida. ***Siempre hay una Aspasia que nos ayuda a tomar las mejores decisiones.*** *Con esta publicación quisiera rendirles homenaje a todos los padres, familiares, tutores, que han estado detrás de la consecución de los éxitos de sus hijos.* Y me encantaría llamar a la reflexión a cada uno de los que leen esta publicación y, si es posible y de su agrado, pedirles que comenten quién es la Aspasia o el Aspasio de su vida, a quien en este momento les encantaría poder agradecer. *Somos una comunidad que también actúa guiando y pretende un sano crecimiento.* ***Cada una de las herramientas y reflexiones que compartimos en @holos-lotus de #Hive, nos lleva a ser más empáticos e inclusivos, a recuperar valores y a expandir nuestro crecimiento humanizado.***

### Doctor, doctor! Weeks ago I heard this story about *Pericles, Aspasia, Socrates and the birth of democracy in ancient Greece*, and yes, I felt the need to investigate. I like my patients to be grateful for what they have and, if they recognized their Aspasias or Aspasios, those who had helped them achieve the achievements they had could then recognize in others so much of what we really are. *I understand that many people have challenges, but one of the reasons we do **[the free association of ideas that we work on in my last initiative](https://peakd.com/hive-131951/@emiliorios/para-conocernos-mas-iniciativa-21-de-septimo-dia-la-libre-asociacion-de-ideas-elige-una-imagen-esen)**, which is still going on, is so that people find out how positive their lives are, what makes you smile, as it happened to @germanandradeg and others who have participated in it; and evoke the good decisions they have made that have brought them benefits and excellent development; awaken the good.* Now, I have tried to add the recognition of those people who have been behind these good decisions to activate gratitude; and, except for one patient, all have managed to profile the figure they have had behind, in women.
