Coming here on foot is always a good thing; and I mean "good" from a mental, physical, and obviously photographic point of view... Plus, you can get here relatively quickly from the town streets, and a very steep but short climb almost immediately allows you to see the valley below, with the town center to the east, very high mountains to the west and north, and a view of the entire valley, full of farmland and pastures to the south, almost disappearing into the horizon, where you can see some mountain ranges that mark the end of the north-central region of the country's geography and the beginning of the central plains region... Montalbán is certainly a place with a privileged location, and the landscape views from here are usually very interesting...
Venir a caminando hasta este lugar es siempre algo bueno; y me refiero a "bueno" desde el punto de vista mental, físico y obviamente fotográfico... Además, se puede llegar aquí con relativa rapidez desde las calles del pueblo y un ascenso rápido pero breve, casi de inmediato permite observar el valle con el casco urbano del pueblo hacia el este, montañas muy altas al oeste y el norte, además brindar una vista la totalidad del valle repleto de tierras de labranza y pastizales hacia el sur y casi hasta perderse en el horizonte en donde se ven algunas cordilleras que marcan el final de la región central de la geografía del país y el comienzo de la región de los llanos centrales... Ciertamente, Montalbán es un lugar con una ubicación privilegiada y las vistas de paisajes desde aquí suelen ser muy interesantes...
When I come here, most of my attention is captured by the landscape. I also like to listen to the murmur of the village sounds combined with the sounds of nature and the wind... The day I took these photographs, we had partially covered skies with clouds of varying densities and shapes, which sometimes attenuated the sunlight and other times allowed it to pass more freely. This allowed me to take some truly interesting photos of valley views, where the morning light and shadow seemed to agree on something beautiful, allowing me to capture these images...
Cuando vengo aquí la mayor parte de mi atención la roba el paisaje. También me gusta escuchar el murmullo del los ruidos del pueblo combinándose con los ruidos de la naturaleza y el viento... El día que hoce estas fotografías tuvimos cielos parcialmente cubiertos con nubes de diferentes densidades y formas, las cuales algunas veces atenuaban la luz solar y otras veces le permitían pasar más libremente; eso me permitió hacer algunas fotos de vistas del valle realmente interesantes, en donde las luces y las sombras matutinas parecieron acordar hacer algo lindo para que yo lograse capturar estas imágenes...
Of course there are a lot of other things here that can also catch my attention and make me take a picture!... Like for example a rooster and a hen staring at me and making little noises, or one of those strange and tiny acrobatic birds which do pirouettes while singing, or my friend Emeterio walking up the mountains with his mare by his side because he only rides it when he is too tired and almost always on the way down (seriously, Emeterio takes care of his mare and every living being near him like that) or even, a couple of cute little green amall parrots which I am sure are looking at me and saying something like: What is that guy doing pointing that thing at us? 😂... But usually, my attention ends up going back to the landscape again...
¡Obviamente que hay otro montón de cosas aquí que pueden también captar mi atención y hacerme disparar una foto!... Como por ejemplo un gallo y una gallina mirándome fijamente y haciendo pequeños ruidos, o una de esas extrañas y diminutas aves acróbatas las cuales hacen piruetas mientras cantan, o mi amigo Emeterio subiendo a las montañas llevando su yegua a su lado porque solo la monta cuando él está demasiado cansado y casi siempre de bajada (es en serio, Emeterio cuida así a su yegua y a todo ser vivo que tenga cerca) o incluso, un par de lindos loritos verdes los cuales estoy seguro de que me miran y dicen algo así como: ¿Qué hace ese tipo apuntando esa cosa hacia nosotros? 😂... Pero generalmente, mi atención termina regresando nuevamente al paisaje...

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7
NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografías capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape v3.7
