**This gif has always seemed pretty funny to me I've seen it many times especially on Instagram and although I knew that its origin was from an anime, I didn't know what its name was, much less that it had several video games. Unfortunately this is one of many games that never came out of Japan and another one of many that never had an English translation, much less Spanish, and I never found a patch to translate it, so many things, if not everything, I did not understand, but it is a game that handles a lot of humor and especially absurd humor, something quite characteristic of Japanese animated series. I wanted to keep the streak of games based on cavemen, but this one you could say that at least maintains the aesthetics of the "wild", although it is a game I know that resembles Tarzan more. So without further ado…**

**As is characteristic in this type of games and also, as I have said many times, the story is something quite secondary, simple and that serves as an excuse to have the protagonist in certain situations and this game fulfills all the above mentioned. Incarnating Tar-Chan who has the title of the King of the Jungle, this charismatic and quite comical character lives in Africa with his wife and the wild animals of the jungle, but one day a group of poachers are kidnapping everyone they come across, so now our protagonist, Tar-Chan, must embark on an adventure full of absurd humor and very Japanese, in order to get these hunters and save his friends. Graphically it is not bad, the sprites of the characters enjoy good size and detail, with a pixel art style very anime, logically to be based on a Japanese animated series, but what stands out most in this aspect is the expressiveness of the characters, which in the purest Japanese style, manage to make faces and expressions quite funny and well done, many of these somewhat exaggerated but that manage to capture very well the charisma of each character and especially the type of humor that manages this game.**

**It is a game with a color palette quite striking and vibrant, it really looks great on screen, as I said before, this is a game that managed to recreate quite well the style of its animated adaptation, highlighting the colors and character design. There is a good variety of scenarios to go through, each of these enjoy good details and decent and adequate decorative elements. The best thing about this game is its expressive humor, which is quite exaggerated but is part of the great visual personality of this game. The music is not bad, it has rhythms that transmit adventure and exploration, but at the same time, it also has certain tribal elements and music that in itself, makes us associate everything related to the jungle, as strange as it may be, but that's how it is. There are also melodies that adapt to other types of environments, because some of these will not only be jungle scenarios, but there will be urban elements and areas with more civilization. It can get a little repetitive certain melodies, but I think it does not affect too much compared to other games that come to annoy due to repeat too many melodies of the game.**

**Jungle King Tar-Chan (SNES) is a fairly conventional platform game, but it also has certain aspects that could also categorize it as a beat 'em up because our protagonist can blow up his enemies with punches and kicks, as a good muscular and jungle character that he is. Also for the same reason of being a character who lives in the jungle is a fairly agile character, being able to jump, climb on the walls and swing on the vines of the trees, all these aspects makes this protagonist has very acrobatic skills, therefore its control is quite fun. We will have to advance through a series of scenarios, defeating enemies or simply moving through the platforms using our best jumping skills to reach our goal. There are final bosses which have their respective attack patterns and ways to eliminate them. One of the aspects that most characterize this game, as I have already mentioned throughout this review is the humor that manages this game and can also be reflected in the attacks that our protagonist can perform, which are riddled with very funny and exaggerated animations. It is not a difficult game and it is not very long, so it can be completed in a short time. Its main negative aspect is its Japanese language, since it does not have any translation, some things and dialogues are totally difficult to understand, but beyond that it is an entertaining game.**

**Este gif siempre me ha parecido bastante chistoso lo he visto muchas veces especialmente en Instagram y aunque sabía que su origen era de un anime, no sabía cuál era su nombre, ni mucho menos que tenía varios videojuegos. Lastimosamente este es uno de tantos juegos que nunca salió de Japón y otro de tantos que nunca tuvo una traducción al inglés, ni mucho menos al español y tampoco encontré un parche para traducirlo, por lo que muchas cosas, por no decir todo, no lo entendí, pero es un juego que maneja mucho el humor y especialmente el humor absurdo, algo bastante característico de las series animadas japonesas. Quería mantener la racha de juegos basados en cavernícolas, pero este se podría decir que mantiene al menos la estética de lo “salvaje”, aunque es un juego sé que se asemeja más a Tarzan. **Como es característico en este tipo de juegos y también, como he dicho muchísimas veces, la historia es algo bastante secundario, simple y que sirve como excusa para tener al protagonista en ciertas situaciones y este juego cumple con todo lo antes mencionado. Encarnando a Tar-Chan el cual tiene el título del Rey de la Selva, este carismático y bastante cómico personaje vive en Africa junto con su esposa y los animales salvajes de la selva, pero un día uno grupo de cazadores furtivos se encuentran secuestrando a todo aquel que vayan encontrando, por lo que ahora nuestro protagonista, Tar-Chan, deberá embarcarse en una aventura sin igual llena de humor absurdo y muy japonés, para poder tener a estos cazadores y así salvar a sus amigos. Gráficamente no está nada mal, los sprites de los personajes gozan de buen tamaño y detalle, con un estilo de pixel art muy a lo anime, lógicamente al estar basado en una serie animada japonesa, pero lo que más destaca en este aspecto es la expresividad de los personajes, los cuales al más puro estilo japonés, logran hacer caras y expresiones bastante cómicas y bien hechas, muchas de estas algo exageradas pero que logran captar muy bien el carisma de cada personaje y especialmente el tipo de humor que maneja este juego.**

**Es un juego con una paleta de colores bastante llamativa y vibrante, realmente se ve muy bien en pantalla, como dije anteriormente, este es un juego que logro recrear bastante bien el estilo de su adaptación animada, destacando los colores y el diseño de personajes. Hay una buena variedad de escenarios por recorrer, cada uno de estos gozan de buenos detalles y elementos decorativos decentes y adecuados. Lo mejor de este juego es su humor expresivo, lo cual es bastante exagerado pero forma parte de la gran personalidad visual de este videojuego. La musical no está mal, cuenta con ritmos que transmiten aventura y exploración, pero a la vez, también cuenta con ciertos elementos tribales y música que en sí, nos hace asociar a todo lo referente a la selva, por más raro que sea, pero es así. También hay melodías que se adaptan a otros tipos de entornos, porque algunos de estos no serán únicamente escenarios de selvas, sino que habrán elementos urbanos y zonas con más civilización. Puede llegar a ser un poco repetitivas ciertas melodías, pero creo que no afecta demasiado a comparación a otros juegos que llegan a molestar debido al repetir demasiados las melodías del juego.**

**Jungle King Tar-Chan (SNES) es un juego de plataformas bastante convencional, pero también cuenta con ciertos aspectos que también lo podrían categorizar como beat ‘em up debido a que nuestro protagonista puede reventar a sus enemigos a puñetazos y patadas, como buen personaje musculoso y de la selva que es. También por ese mismo motivo de ser un personaje que vive en el selva es un personaje bastante ágil, pudiendo dar saltos, escalar sobre las paredes y columpiarse por las lianas de los árboles, todos estos aspectos hace que este protagonista cuenta con habilidades muy acrobáticas, por ende su control es bastante divertido. Tendremos que avanzar por una serie de escenarios, derrotando enemigos o simplemente moviéndonos por medio de las plataformas usando nuestras mejores habilidades de salto para llegar a nuestro objetivo. Hay jefes finales los cuales cuentan con sus respectivos patrones de ataques y formas en como eliminarlos. De los aspectos que más caracterizan a este juego, como ya he mencionado a lo largo de esta review es el humor que maneja este juego y también se puede ver reflejado en los ataques que puede realizar nuestro protagonista, lo cuales están plagados de animaciones muy cómicas y exageradas. No es un juego difícil y tampoco es muy largo, por lo que se puede completar en poco tiempo. Su mayor aspecto negativo es su idioma al japonés, ya que al no contar con ninguna traducción ciertas cosas y diálogos son totalmente difíciles de entender, pero más a allá de eso es un juego entretenido.**
