While I was looking for a good retro game to share with the community, I came across one that at first deceived me, I say this because once I started playing it, I found many similarities both graphics and soundtrack with the Contra games, and well, it turns out that I was indeed playing a version of Contra, but with a different name for the region of the game, so it is Contra III - The Alien Wars.
Stage 1 shows us a scenario of a destroyed city as a result of an invasion, so we must move through it facing different rivals and obstacles. If I had to compare it with other versions of Contra, I would say that this one is a bit more complex when it comes to Stage 1, since the scenario offers obstacles that can be surprising for those who play this game for the first time. In this Stage I was able to face the boss successfully and transcend to the next one, but not before dying in the first attempt.
Stage 2 surprised me because of how it is laid out, we are shown a kind of map of several roads from which we must choose the place where we want to start. Once there the game perspective changes as we see the player from above. Once I defeated the enemies, I faced the boss of Stage 2 which is notably more complicated than the first one.
So, what you will see in the video is the gameplay of Stages 1 and 2 of this interesting game that still today has the ability to amuse and entertain. I will try to play the subsequent Stages to share them with the community in the future, I'm very curious to know what's next. I would like to know if you have played this title before or if it is the first time you see it, let me know your impressions in the comment box.
