Hello fellow gamers!

I decided to join this contest after seeing the contest blog by the hive gaming community. This was just perfect timing because my brother and I finally got a Playstation 5 after waiting for a long time. I'm one of those weird people who doesn't really watch sports but instead of that I'd watch gameplays because we never really had a powerful machine until now. I thought about posting reviews about the ones that worked on my potato laptop but it wasn't fair to review something without playing it in a way that the developers intended us to play but things have changed so here I'm excited to participate in this contest by using one of the most popular titles on the planet right now.

Spiderman Miles Morales

Spiderman has been a big part of my life growing up because he was written in a way that his struggles mirror with an average human being. Despite being in the worst situations he always pushed through which is one of the best qualities a person can have. Inspiration, right? That's why Uncle Ben said "with great power comes great responsibility".

You might be wondering why I'm using the Miles Morales version instead of the OG. That's because I'm not very liquid right now after the PS5 purchase and monthy subscription haha but the subscription plan included the Miles Morales version with almost the same mechanics as the OG created by Insomniac. This is great because I'll be buying that when there is a discount plus I get an experience from this as well so when I'm playing it the transition will be smooth!

Traversal Challenge

This is it. This is what I'm using to enter this contest. Lots of games have great combat, meaningful story, stunning visuals etc but the mode of transportation which Spiderman uses is unique which is something that lots of people even dreamed about doing when they were little. Yes, I'm talking about webbing. It's simply amazing! I have played around 10 Spiderman PC game titles so far and something that's always been missing is to utilise the webbing potential to a whole new level. Until "The Amazing Spiderman 2" game I felt like the web slinging was under utilized because the city is smaller and buildings are short until Insomniac started working on this title. They pretty much improved every aspect of the Spiderman game which was heavily under utilized like Web slinging in this instance. The Amazing Spiderman 2 has decent webbing but the field of view was not that great compared to this so we wont be able to appreciate the city more. These guys pretty much fixed all that gave us the ultimate Spiderman experience through their game. It's not surprising that they got lots of awards for their recent Spiderman games!

The traversal challenge is a training program for efficient web slinging built by Peter to train Miles because he is a noob in simple terms. I played this game for like maybe seven days and I got hang of web slinging quite well. Maybe my previous experience from playing other spiderman titles helped.

This traversal challenge has three difficulties.

  • Amazing : Easy (>45sec)
  • Spectacular: Medium (<45sec)
  • Ultimate : Hard (<30sec)

It was relatively easy for me to get Amazing and Spectacular but it took me a few tries to get the ultimate trophy because you need to complete the challenge under 30 seconds by moving through the holographic checkpoints over the building as fast as you can. I have to say i really liked the challenge plus it really pushes you how to push your web slinging skill to the next level and the next level being the Ultimate Spiderman.

My brother is still pissed off because he actually finished the game in 4 days without completing these challenges but he couldn't get the Ultimate score even after many tries. Needless to say he rage quit hahahaha. Classic frustrated gamer moment lol.

Do I recommend it?

I been playing this game for a week now and I'm really loving it. I actually ditched Assassin's creed origins for this one because this is more fun and challenging. Currently, Miles is after the Tinkerer right now so I can't wait to see how the story unfolds. Unlike the movies they use lots of underrated characters in this game so the game's world building and interactions with these characters are amazing. I haven't seen anyone posting about this game in here I think but I really think you guys should give it a try if it's available for you.
