Es increíble la conexión que podemos lograr con nuestras plantas cuando empezamos a cuidarlas, se desprende una energía de alegría y en ocasiones de tristeza cuando ellas llegan a desaparecer, debo comentarles que los dos últimos meses del año 2021 fueron bastante duros para algunas de mis plantas. Cuando a mis cebollínes los atacaron los bachacos sentí muchísima tristeza, al día de hoy ya no existen.
Lamentablemente los cebollines no sobrevivieron y ahora debo empezar de cero, comprando cebollín sembrando los bulbos y también usando las semillas que pude obtener de las flores de cebollín que ahora son solo un buen recuerdo. Fue muy hermoso cuando vi al cebollín florecer, ni siquiera sabía que su flor era tan hermosa, no todos florecen y por esto no tengo la certeza de que los que siembre, en esta nueva temporada, den flores solo el tiempo lo dirá. ***La jardinería también se trata de esperar con fe.***

Otras plantas que no han querido florecer son los lirios, he estado pensando en remover la tierra y volver a plantar para ver si de esta forma llegan a florecer nuevamente, como verán la jardinería nos da alegrías pero también podemos sentirnos muy tristes cuando nuestras plantas son víctimas de animales o plagas que al final acaban con ellas.
Claro está que no todo ha sido tristeza en el jardín, gracias a Dios, otras plantas han estado creciendo muy bien. ***Siempre hay esperanza en el jardín, eso es lo más alentador***.

Una de las plantas que se mantiene radiante es esta suculenta, llena de vida y siempre verde, esta planta llegó a la casa cuando una prima envío dos macetas (con dos plantas, según creía ella) para ver si podíamos hacer algo con estas plantas que estaban secándose en su apartamento. Resulta que esta suculenta era muy pequeña, tanto así que mi prima ni la recuerda. La suculenta compartía maceta con otra planta.

Las saqué de sus macetas, cambié la tierra y las coloqué en macetas más grandes. La suculenta ha venido creciendo muy bien. Mi prima ha estado en mi casa, le he mostrado cómo han crecido sus plantas (¿quizá ahora son nuestras?) y ella aún no recuerda a esta hermosa suculenta.
Otra planta que sigue desarrollándose es la *Acalypha wilkesiana*, ella parece que pasa por un proceso de cambio y sus hojas con tonos rojos se han caído apareciendo hojas con tonos más verdes, también he notado que sus espigas rojas se han multiplicado. De las dos plantas de pimentón que pude obtener gracias a mis semilleros una no se desarrolló pero la que queda va creciendo fuerte, es muy emocionante cuando puedes apreciar su crecimiento desde que posas la semilla en la tierra.

También tenemos unos cactus que trajo una tía desde Margarita, algunos crecen con más rapidez, otros con menos rapidez y quizá esto se debe a que están compartiendo macetas, muchos de ellos han dado otros cactus de modo que algunos los corto y los vuelvo a plantar, así va creciendo el jardín de cactus.

Fui a una ferretería a mediados del mes de Enero y adquirí algunos implementos de jardinería: dos pares de guantes y un rastrillo, esto con el fin de ir comprando mejores herramientas de trabajo. Estamos por pintar una de las paredes cercanas al sitio donde colocamos las macetas (hablo en plural porque mi mamá, abuela y pequeña prima han colaborado). Seguiré comprando herramientas y más plantas para darle más vida al jardín.
Durante el mes de Enero se realizaron algunos cambios en una zona del patio dónde queremos colocar todas las macetas con las plantas y también sembrar algunas de ellas. La idea es ir, poco a poco, creando un espacio solo para las plantas.
