Starting two years ago, I've been loving a dessert that's hard to find. Since capitalism has replaced all traditional foods with instant foods, traditional foods have become difficult to find. There are two reasons: it's profitable because it's easy to make, or because the unstable climate means traditional foods that rely heavily on natural ingredients are no longer readily available.
So I got the idea to grow my own at hom. A herbs plant called Cyclea barbata. I have a pot of it, right next to my clothesline, and it only grows as a vine. I plant it this way, and it eventually spread over the fence to make it easier to grow, but unfortunately, it's difficult to harvest because I have to climb a ladder.
This plant has become very important to me, so almost every time I think of coconut milk grass jelly dessert, I make it. It's quite easy: just wash it thoroughly, squeeze it, and strain it with water. No cooking required, and no other ingredients added. Just add palm sugar and coconut milk, and it makes it even more delicious!
I'm picking some leaves to harvest and blend. I prefer to use a blender to extract all the leaves. If using your hands, make sure your hands are clean. I'm sure you'll love this leaf to grow at home. It's also great for your throat.
I rarely get colds, probably because I enjoy eating herbal foods like this. The green substance called chlorophyll is now in my house, and it's been growing very thickly for a year. Initially, there were only a few leaves. I bought the herb plant at a local herb shop.
This is truly one of those hard to find herbs. My grandmother used to have one in her backyard, but unfortunately, because the leaves aren't aesthetically pleasing if left untreated, she cut them all down. Now, it's in my beautiful mini garden.
