Hi my fellow garden lovers,
Greetings dear friends! Welcome to my Hive blog. How are you? I really believe that you are doing well in this weekend. These days, with a dry weather pattern, working outdoors is a major inconvenience, but even walking is a major inconvenience. Staying indoors without air conditioning has also become a difficult task. After watering in the morning, I water the vegetable plants again after 24 hours. Therefore, the cultivation of my well-developed garden has now stalled. It needs rain to bring it back to normal. The plants that I have cultivated with great effort have become weak due to lack of water. Let's move on to the content now.
A pumpkin vine is growing in our garden, and it is producing yellow flowers. It grows along the ground, and most of the flowers are false. Pumpkins are often formed in hidden places. Pumpkin, a vegetable rich in vitamin C, can be prepared in a variety of delicious ways.
My mother has planted several coffee plants, which are the favorite drinks of most people in the world. They grow and thrive even without water. The trees need to be even bigger to produce coffee beans. After the coffee beans ripen, their seeds are separated and left to dry. After they are thoroughly dried, the seeds are ground into powder. Coffee powder is what is added to coffee. At that time, we prepared the coffee we needed for our home consumption ourselves. Although all the processes are done mechanically now, when we were young, everything was done by the hands of adults.
I have tried to propagate capsicum several times before, but all my efforts were in vain. Only a few capsicum seeds, which were planted in the right soil, turned out to be plants. It was a joy to see capsicum plants in my garden for the first time. Unfortunately, about 50 percent of them were destroyed by snails. With the decrease in rainfall, more plants may be destroyed.
Although the lack of water hampered growth, the okra plants showed some success. However, a species of worm that came with black ants was seen destroying the okra leaves. Due to this, it was difficult to get a good harvest of okra. Even though these worms were removed from time to time along with the leaves, they reappeared.
After a lot of hard work, I was able to get a better tomato harvest this year. Even though I spent the morning every day protecting the tomato leaves from the "powdery mildew", I found it difficult to stop their attacks. However, as their attacks became more severe during the day, the leaves shrank and the growth was reduced. In addition, the flowering was also minimal. However, I am happy to have been able to get a significant harvest.
Even though the rains are low, there is almost no obstacle to the spread of spinach vines in my garden. Since the amount of spinach is rich in iron, my wife took steps to provide it to neighboring houses as well. Since spinach grows faster above the ground than on the ground, it is advantageous to make a fly by collecting sticks.
The next most exciting thing is the flowering of our green chili plants. While the plants are gradually growing and preparing to give a larger chili harvest, the chili plants are also being attacked by insects. With the lack of rain, insect infestations have also increased. Somehow, the few chili plants need to be saved from these attacks.
The long bean plants are also starting to flower these days. They are being attacked by black ants. I have already taken steps to control them. These days, snails and lizards are coming to our garden to get their nutrition.
