Hi, Hive friends! I just came across an old memory from my iPad, so I'd like to share it here.
My friends and I went to Manila in 2013 and stayed with my aunt, who lives in Pasig.
My friends were first-time visitors to Manila, and my aunt was happy to host us.
One of the places we visited was Star City, which is located in Pasay, Philippines. It is one of the popular amusement parks in Manila.
We paid for the entrance fee of about PHP 200 and paying for the rides is optional. We never really took all the rides because we had a limited budget. I mean, we already had our fan at Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna.
We just wanted to be there, enjoying all the noise and crowd. Just to see what it feels like to be in Star City. Haha!
We took many selfies inside.
We tried Snow World and we paid a different fee. We didn't take many photos inside because cameras are not allowed. They have an assigned photographer inside and you have to pay for it. And yes, we did pay for one photo for a keepsake. Haha!
We enjoyed our time inside Snow World, especially the snow tube slide. Since I was wearing shorts and slippers, I bought gloves to protect myself from frostbite. Indeed, it was cold.
So yeah, that was our first taste of winter. Hahaha!
We never had amusement parks in Cebu back then so visiting Star City is enough for that experience. But all we did there was buy food and eat.
In 2019, Star City was hit by fire. I thought they were going to close down and would not operate in the future. I was in France already when I heard the news. My friends and I reminisced about our funny memories at Star City. Good thing, they reopened in 2022.
Posting this because I missed my friends. Hehe!
See you on the next blog.
Ciao!
