Hello everyone. San Sai Khong Noi Village, a rural village in Fang District, Chiang Mai. This village is a quiet village, Most of the people are farmers and believe in Buddhism. The sacred place and place for religious ceremonies of the people in this village is Wat San Sai Khong Noi or Wat Khlong Sila. Last month my wife and I were traveling through San Sai Khong Noi village and had the opportunity to visit this temple. First time visiting this temple, we liked and were impressed this temple. So I want to share this temple with everyone.
Wat San Sai Khong Noi or Wat Khlong Sila was built and received permission to be established as a temple in A.D. 1919 or 102 years. And in A.D. 1973 or 51 years ago, the temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree. This temple is built in the Lanna style mixed with some Tai-Yai.
When we arrived at Wat San Sai Khong Noi, there was no entrance arch to the temple. But decorated with Lanna style cloth lanterns at the entrance. There are two lion statues on the pillars between the entrances. And two lion statues made in the Tai-Yai style.
In front of the temple there is a name plate of a large temple. Spelled in Thai as Wat Khlong Sila.
The first architecture that we see when walking inside the temple is the buddha image hall (viharn). The buddha image hall (viharn) is made of bricks plastered with cement and painted white. The front, doors and windows of the buddha image hall (viharn) are decorated with beautiful Lanna style stucco designs and Buddhist art. And most of the buddha image hall (viharn) has gold color patterns.
On the railing at the entrance to the buddha image hall (viharn) are two serpent statues and a lion statue that appears to be hugging the serpent.
On the side of the buddha image hall (viharn) is the ordination hall (ubosot). This ordination hall (ubosot) is beautiful and unique. And the ordination hall (ubosot) is built in a Lanna style mixed with Tai-Yai. I think, Looks very beautiful and perfect. My wife and I like this ordination hall (ubosot).
Of course there is a serpent statue on the entrance railing. In addition, there is a statue of an angel beside the serpent and a statue of a winged lion in front too.
Behind the ordination hall (ubosot) is a pagoda. The pagoda has a white polygonal shape and is decorated with gold color stucco designs. And surrounding the pagoda are many white statues in small arch.
Other statues and buddha images in the temple.
The Lanna-style building for monks has two large lion statues.
The inside of the temple is also decorated with Lanna style cloth flags and cloth lanterns too.
Other atmosphere in the temple. In addition to the temple being shady with many trees, there are also many beautiful flowers too. We enjoy these flowers as well.
