Hello hiver
Hello everyone, how are you
I'm back with a black and white photo of me that you might like and this is my entry
On the city streets, the sound of drums accompanied the footsteps of troops dressed in black and adorned with white ornaments. They were the Yogyakarta Palace Troops, performing in a cultural carnival. Dressed in traditional uniforms that combined military attire with Yogyakarta batik, they marched neatly, some wielding long spears and others carrying musical instruments.
At the forefront, drummers provided the rhythm, guiding each step of the troops behind. I, with my camera, continuously captured the troops' dignified movements.
In the distance, a gunungan (mountain mountain), a symbol of fertility and prosperity, was paraded, completing the sacred atmosphere and adding to the festive atmosphere.
This carnival performance was not merely entertainment, but a breath of history that could still be felt, bringing back the glory of palace traditions, blending with the pulse of modern life that we witnessed from the sidelines.
