Hard Work, But With Pride / Trabajo Duro Pero con Orgullo [Eng-Esp]

Hello dear Black and White community,

Welcome to Lima, the most populated city in Peru, and also the most complex.
Here I want to show you the face of the people, the real face of Lima.
As we say here, the streets are tough. Surviving is a daily mission. But so is dignity.

From the woman selling newspapers and candy in the morning,
to the shoeshiner, the recycler, or the old man pushing his candy cart back home,
they are silent heroes in a country that often forgets them.

The mamichas who leave their towns searching for better opportunities
only to find indifference… the mother who faces the same thing every day,
but keeps going for her children. All of them deserve respect.

In a country where crime grows every day,
there are still people who survive with honesty and pride.
They are the true engine of Peru. This is my tribute.

A series of 8 photos:
4 taken during the day, 4 at night. Same streets, different light, but the same resilience.

Hola querida comunidad en Blanco y Negro

Bienvenidos a Lima, la ciudad más poblada del Perú y también la más compleja.
Aquí quiero mostrarles el rostro del pueblo, el rostro real de Lima.
Como decimos aquí, la calle está dura. Sobrevivir es una misión diaria. Pero también lo es la dignidad.

Desde la señora que vende periódicos y dulces en la mañana,
hasta el lustra botas, el reciclador o el abuelo que empuja su carrito de golosinas de vuelta a casa,
son héroes silenciosos de un país que muchas veces los olvida.

Las mamichas que llegan desde otras ciudades buscando oportunidades
y solo encuentran indiferencia… la madre que cada día enfrenta lo mismo,
pero sigue adelante por sus hijos. Todas ellas merecen respeto.

En un país donde la delincuencia crece cada día,
aún hay personas que sobreviven con honestidad y orgullo.
Ellos son el motor del Perú. Este es mi homenaje.

Una serie de 8 fotos:
4 de día, 4 de noche. Las mismas calles, distinta luz, pero la misma resiliencia.
