Monomad: "Capturing a Bond"

Yesterday, I had such a special photo session that even my continuous lights got in a good mood. Inspired by my girlfriend's incredible beauty (and, let's be honest, because there's no budget for a professional studio), we set up a makeshift set in my room. It was like going back to my student days, but with better coffee and without the pressure of a final exam! I consciously took advantage of the opportunity to apply the Rembrandt triangle technique, looking for those lights and shadows that make even a broom look dramatic in black and white.

I'm incredibly happy with the result and the atmosphere we achieved. And my girlfriend, who is a flamenco dancer, not only loved the photos, but she also made my life easier with the poses! She practically directed the session herself, leaving me with the "difficult" job of just pressing the button. Although I'm more used to immortalizing landscapes, I love diving into the world of portraiture and learning new techniques. I know that with each session, my photos will get better. After all, as they say, you never stop learning (and asking your girlfriend to pose)!

Ayer tuve una sesión de fotos tan especial que hasta mis luces continuas se pusieron de humor. Inspirado por la increíble belleza de mi novia (y, seamos honestos, porque no hay presupuesto para un estudio profesional), montamos un set improvisado en mi habitación. ¡Fue como volver a mis tiempos de estudiante, pero con mejor café y sin la presión de un examen final! Aproveché para aplicar conscientemente la técnica del triángulo de Rembrandt, buscando esas luces y sombras que hacen que hasta una escoba se vea dramática en blanco y negro.

Estoy increíblemente contento con el resultado y la atmósfera que logramos. Y mi novia, que es bailarina de flamenco, ¡no solo quedó feliz con las fotos, sino que me hizo la vida más fácil con las poses! Prácticamente dirigió ella sola la sesión, dejándome a mí el "difícil" trabajo de solo presionar el botón. Aunque estoy más acostumbrado a inmortalizar paisajes, me encanta zambullirme en el mundo del retrato y aprender nuevas técnicas. Sé que con cada sesión, mis fotos serán mejores. Después de todo, como dicen, ¡uno nunca deja de aprender (y de pedirle a su novia que pose)!
