Unplanned Shots, Unexpected Results / Fotos Imprevistas, Resultados Inesperados [Eng-Esp]

Hello dear Black and White community,

A few days ago, my friend Cris asked me to support him during a photo session. We went to the studio, set up the background and lighting scheme, and then waited for the model, Jimmy. I’m becoming more and more familiar with lighting setups and studio flash, and I really enjoy how the results are turning out.

This time, Cris designed the lighting arrangement to his liking, and I helped a bit by guiding the model with some poses. Later, Cris asked me to take a few profile shots of him with the camera in hand (but that’s another story I’ll share when I post those pictures ).

While Cris was shooting, I thought: “Why not take advantage of the moment?” So I started photographing Jimmy as well. Even though I didn’t have control of the flash, with a bit of editing I managed to rescue some images I was quite happy with. Today I’m sharing them with you with much affection and soon I’ll be posting the special session I did with my good friend too.

Hola querida comunidad en Blanco y Negro

Hace poco mi amigo Cris me pidió que lo apoyara en una sesión de fotos. Fuimos al estudio, armamos el esquema de luces y el fondo, y luego esperamos al modelo, Jimmy. Cada vez me siento más familiarizado con los esquemas de iluminación y el uso del flash de estudio, y me encanta cómo van quedando los resultados.

En esta ocasión, Cris diseñó el esquema a su gusto, y yo lo apoyé un poco con las poses del modelo. Después, él me pidió que le tomara unas fotos para su perfil con la cámara en mano (esa ya será otra historia que les contaré cuando suba esas imágenes ).

Mientras Cris fotografiaba, pensé: “¿Por qué no aprovechar el momento?” y comencé a tomarle también algunas fotos a Jimmy. No tenía control del flash, pero con un poco de edición logré rescatar varias imágenes que me dejaron contento. Hoy se las comparto con mucho cariño, y pronto también subiré la sesión especial que hice con mi buen amigo
