Hey dear Hive friends, I hope you all had a good day and a pleasant start to the new week! In my new post I would like to present some black and white pictures for the #monomad challenge and hope you like them.

You can see pictures of two different types of birdhouses that have not only been created visually well, they are also important from an ecological point of view. Birdhouses are usually made of weatherproof material and offer birds safe protection, especially in winter. It is best to hang birdhouses in autumn and they are also a great place to breed. Birdhouses are also a good way to let your creativity run wild and there are numerous instructions online to build them or many locations to buy them.

It is a great way to stand up for nature and especially due to the ever-growing danger to some birds important for nature. If you should play with the idea of hanging more, you should always make sure to attach them at a distance of 5-10 meters. It is also important that there are no sharp edges or other places where the birds could injure themselves and it is also essential to clean the birdhouses regularly. Birds usually find their own food well, but those who also play with the idea to offer a food source could be interesting bird feeder houses.

Symbolically birds are often seen as a transition between heaven and earth and the animals are also often found in mythology. Depending on the species, birds often have different meanings and, for example, the owl is often associated with wisdom, the eagle is a symbol of power and courage and the stork stands for spring and new life to name just a few examples. The main god Odin from Norse mythology is often associated with ravens and the main god of Greek mythology Zeus is also associated with an eagle called Aithon. The goddess of wisdom Athena is usually depicted with an owl which presents one of her attributes.

Many thanks for stopping by and watching! I used my camera Sony Alpha 6000 and Sony SEL-55210 Telephoto Zoom Lens (55-210mm) to take these pictures.
