Some journeys are always memorable, and one such journey is the Manali-Leh Highway. I've been traveling this highway every year since 2013, and each year it seems new and beautiful to me. The mountains, snow, lakes, and mountain passes here make me feel alive. That's why I come here again and again.

Coming down from such high mountains, I feel very energetic for a few weeks, but then, after a period of being overwhelmed with work, I gradually start behaving like a corpse. I don't feel like getting up every morning, brushing my teeth, showering, and then eating breakfast. All these tasks bore me, and I lose interest in them at all.

To escape my monotonous routine, I catch a bus to the mountains whenever I get a chance, throwing a jacket in my bag, and head out. The air, blue sky, snow, and colors here captivate me and keep me balanced. My mind becomes centered, and everything in my life becomes perfect and good.

This is my entry for #monomad challenge.
