**English** ### **Discovering Streets and Shortcuts** Last weekend, I took it to myself and wanted to record some images that caught my attention. For example, the old buildings located on well-known corners. >***Español*** >##### **Descubriendo Calles y Atajos** >El fin de semana pasado, me lo tomé para mí y quería hacer registro de algunas imágenes que me llamaron la atención. Por ejemplo, los edificios viejos ubicados en esquinas muy conocidas.   Then through streets and buildings that I did not know; it was a walk, which took me to several unpopular places, while I am leaving images. I realize that there are places in Caracas that remain stopped in time. Their facades show that they remain intact, but with great deterioration in their structures, it is noticeable that there is no maintenance. >Luego por calles y edificios que no conocía; fue un paseo, que me trasladó a varios lugares no populares, mientras les voy dejando imágenes. Me doy cuenta de que hay lugares en Caracas que permanecen detenidos en el tiempo. Sus fachadas demuestran que se mantienen intactas, pero con gran deterioro en sus estructuras, se nota que no hay mantenimiento.  When we go to places where governmental centers are located the view changes, the modernity transforms it, the whole view is different, I went to a little known square, it is behind the Central Bank of Venezuela, it is called Plaza Juan Pedro Lopez or Plaza la Moneda, like any other square with a lot of bushes and gardening to give a touch of freshness to the environment. >Cuando nos dirigimos a sitios donde están ubicados centros gubernamentales la vista cambia, la modernidad lo transforma, toda la vista es diferente, me dirigí a una plaza poco conocida, ella está detrás del Banco Central de Venezuela, se llama Plaza Juan Pedro López o Plaza la Moneda, como toda plaza con bastante arbusto, y jardinería para dar el toque de frescura al ambiente.    It has many spaces to rest and its small bushes are arranged in a well thought out way, because when you sit down you stay under them to protect yourself from the sun's rays. You can see many people resting. The square belongs to the Central Bank of Venezuela and has several spaces, one outdoors and another with a roof to provide shade. The square is very comfortable and quite wide, very visited. Nearby is the Church of Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes. >Tiene muchos espacios para descansar y sus pequeños arbustos están dispuestos de una forma bien pensada, porque cuando te sientas quedas debajo de ellos para protegerte de los rayos del sol. Puede observar mucha gente descansando. La plaza le pertenece al Banco Central de Venezuela y tiene varios espacios, uno al aire libre y otro con techo para dar sombra. La plaza es muy cómoda y bastante amplia, muy visitada. Cerca se encuentra la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes.     I continued walking and I can say that the city is seen in two times.
