Greetings to all the members of this photography-loving community. Between the symbolic columns of this monument, a slender shadow passed by, a feminine silhouette searching in every corner where to hide from the radiant and hot sun of the day. They say it is the ghost of an old promise of love, a couple who tried to escape the hatred between their families, a kind of Caribbean "Romeo and Juliet", which like the tragic novel, does not have a happy ending. They decided to escape one night, they would meet at the monument and from there they would go to the train station that is very close to the place, they would leave to never come back, but together. Something happened that night, he never arrived, she stayed waiting for him, a day, a month, a year. The boy was never heard from again, they say that her family realized the plan, and killed him without a trace. The only thing known about her is that she was seen many times over the years, with her suitcase, her books, waiting for her beloved, until one day, nobody saw her there. Stories like these are everywhere, very sad but inspiring. I dedicate these photos to all the couples who lost their love, and only remained in the memory. Saludos a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad amante de la fotografía. Entre las columnas simbólicas de este monumento, pasaba una sombra esbelta, una silueta femenina buscando en cada rincón donde ocultarse del sol radiante y caluroso del día. Dicen que es el fantasma de una vieja promesa amor, una pareja que intentó escapar del odio entre sus familias, una especie de "Romeo y Julieta" caribeño, que al igual que la trágica novela, no tiene un final feliz. Decidieron escaparse una noche, se encontrarían en el monumento y de ahí se irían a la estación de trenes que queda muy cerca del lugar, se irían para no volver jamás, pero juntos. Algo pasó esa noche, el nunca llegó, ella se quedó esperándolo, un día, un mes, un año. Del muchacho más nunca se supo, dicen que la familia de ella se dió cuenta del plan, y lo asesinaron sin dejar rastro. De ella solo se sabe que la vieron muchas veces al pasar de los años, con su maleta, sus libros, esperando a su amado, hasta que un día, más nunca nadie la vio en el lugar. Historias como estas hay en todos lados, muy tristes pero inspiradoras. Dedico estás fotos a todos las parejas que se huraron amor, y solo quedaron en el recuerdo.
