The Polish Cemetery at Monte Cassino is the resting place of soldiers of the 2nd Polish Corps who died during the Battle of Monte Cassino in May 1944. This battle was a key engagement in the Italian campaign during World War II, intended to break the Gustav Line and open the road to Rome. It is located at the foot of the monastery that was the center of the fighting.
Cmentarz Polski na Monte Cassino jest miejscem spoczynku żołnierzy 2. Korpusu Polskiego, którzy polegli podczas bitwy o Monte Cassino w maju 1944 roku. Ta bitwa była kluczowym starciem w kampanii włoskiej podczas II wojny światowej, mającym na celu przełamanie linii Gustawa i otwarcie drogi na Rzym. Znajduje się u podnóża klasztoru, który był centrum walki.
