I was waiting for the new suggested colour in the Photo Essay community for some days... I was curious about the new contest, so I asked @stresskiller in a comment if he had chosen the new colour for the initiative. However, at that moment, he hadn't made a decision yet. Then days passed and it seems I completely missed the announcement post for the RED contest. The post has been there for seven days already! ๐คฆโโ
Better late than never, a small collection of red objects arrives today from me. The rules say that you must have at least 5 different red objects, that the minimum word count is 150 and that the initiative ends on August 1st. Now, I remember that last month the admin said that even though it is five different objects, you can have that many different flowers, for example... I wonder if that also applies to cars? Five different cars, but all red? I hope so, because that is what is about to roll onto my blog right now, a few cars of this colour that I haven't shown you in my post about that collection on four wheels. Truth be told, there are still many classic cars I have seen that day at the fair of vintage vehicles. ๐
I found this selection of red roaring creatures suitable for this Photo-essay contest.

The first red car that drives into this post is a Sunbeam Alpine. This colour perfectly fits this sports coupรฉ launched in 1953 in the United Kingdom. The paper on its windshield says that this car is in a restoration period. Well, I see it in perfect conditions. ๐

If we stay for another moment with the British car brands, we can't miss out on this classic Mini Cooper. It seems that they performed well in racing, especially rallies. From the sticker placed on the bonnet of this car, I see that it participated in the I Tourist Trophy in the Province of Valencia, held in 2016. He didn't win, but it made it to this post due to its red colour. ๐

When I was small, my dad had a Renault 4. It was of a completely different appearance from the red, shiny car that we see in the following image... of course, as it was in the eighties. This classic one, the Renault 4CV, was produced between 1946 and 1961, many years before I was born. That is why I didn't see the connection immediately, but after my little research to find out the exact model of the car, I see a bit of resemblance.

Let's move now to another continent. We are going to the USA, and then we have to bring a Ford.
A truck from 1953, Ford Mercury M100. Actually, this one came directly from Canada (where this model M100 was manufactured) to Spain in 2016, and according to the paper I was reading on its window, it was completely restored during the COVID-19 lockdown. I think the new owner was not bored during the lockdown, as I am sure a lot of work was done to get this awesome look for this truck!

We deal here with another Ford, but a real beauty!! Ford Fairlane Skyliner from 1955, maybe actually the model Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria Skyliner. There are some little confusions about the name of the model for me ๐ but without any doubt if I could go back in time... I would like to have at least one ride in this car. I think it would be very cool!! Look at those seats! ๐
Bonus red car
It was five already...? Oh... But let me add one additional red car for the end, another American car. A muscle car, a Dodge Super Bee 383. I have seen this type of car only in movies, when the story is set in the late 1960s and early 1970s. I am not sure I would love to sit in such a car, depending on the circumstances, hahaha, I think I would be fine with the Skyliner. ๐
