I am a **Splinterlands** player since **October 2019** and after almost four years since my first game battle **Splinterlands is still my favorite [play to earn](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-play2earn-gaming) blockchain game** and I still enjoy playing [ranked battles](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-ranked-battles) and still enjoy increasing the battle strength of my card collection. After July 25, 2023 **my entertainment increased because anti-bots measures were introduced in the [Modern Format](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-modern-and-wild-formats) and because playing against real players like me is much more fun than playing against "cold and over-efficient" bots**. After the introduction of the anti-bots measures **the rewards in [SPS](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-splintershards-sps) tokens for real players** playing in the **Modern Format** also increased as you can see from the data in the Reward Pool Statistics section of Splex.gg (https://splex.gg/tools/reward_pools).  If I had the full power to introduce changes to my favorite blockchain game I would immediately introduce anti-bots measures in the [Wild Format](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-modern-and-wild-formats) as well. An alternative solution would be to create a third format that I would call BOT format in which I would make only bots play and to which I would allocate only 20% of the Reward Pool. Unfortunately, I do not have this power but **I hope that in the future the Wild Format will also be freed from bots**. When there are 7 days and 20 hours left until the end of the current [season](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-season), I am in league **Diamond I** of Modern Format with a **[rating](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-rating) = 3166 points**.  My goal for the season is **to finish the season at least in the Diamond I league** in order to restart the following season from the Diamond III league without having to back down to the [Gold](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-gold-league) I league. It is a goal within my reach because it is a goal I have achieved in the previous two seasons, so I should be able to achieve it this season as well. However, I also want to try to increase my win rate which would help me speed up the accumulation of SPS tokens to reach my goal of **100K SPS staked**. To increase my win rate **I need to increase the battle strength of my card collection**. There are many ways to choose which cards to buy or level up, and the ways I like to use are varied. In today's post I want to show an additional starting point that I use to choose purchase/upgrade targets: **the Missing [BCX](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-combining-cards) feature**. There are two sites that have this functionality and that I like to use: - **Splintercards**: [Missing BCX Tool](https://www.splintercards.com/tool-missing-bcx.html?a=76&qed=7&gol=&lea=5&rar=0) - **Splex.GG**: [Missing BCX Buyer](https://splex.gg/market/missing_bcx)  _{Screenshot from: https://www.splintercards.com/tool-missing-bcx.html?a=76&qed=7&gol=&lea=5&rar=0} However, from **Splintercards** it is not possible to sort the results by **Price to max**.  This is why recently I prefer to use the **Missing BCX** feature of **Splex.gg** because unlike Splintercards it allows you to sort the results with more search filters. Today I went to https://splex.gg/market/missing_bcx and after entering my **In Game Name** I clicked on **Check Collection**  Then I selected the **Market Filters** that you can see in the image below to include in the results only cards that can be used in the **Modern Format (Modern Only)**.  Then I sorted the results by the value of the **Estimated Price** column to find possible card targets to upgrade to the highest level that have a relatively low cost to me.  Thanks to the **Missing BCX Buyer** feature today I upgraded several cards that I had in my collection that had an upgrade cost of less than $10, and in this post I share 5 upgrades goals that I completed today. The first result I obtained using the Missing BCX feature was the **Chaos Knight** card for which I only had to spend **$0.180** to reach the maximum level.  **Chaos Knight** of **level 9** is a card I like to use when the battle rules are **Melee Mayem** and **Super Sneak**. I made this upgrade right away given the really low cost I had to incur. In passing from level 9 to level 10 my Chaos Knight only gains 1 more life point but the upgrade cost is really low and in my opinion it was worth it to me to do it.  To purchase **5 BCX** of Chaos Knight, however, I did not use splex.gg's market because the cashback is lower than the cashback offered by **Monstermarket** which in the case of buying cards immediately is my first choice option while I use [Peakmonsters](https://peakmonsters.com/market) when I have to make **Bid** purchase offers.  I spent **240.50 DEC** and received a cashback of **8.62 DEC**  As my second goal of upgrading to the highest level, I chose **Venari Bonesmith**.  This was another low-cost upgrade because I spent just over $1 for 26 BCXs  In upgrading from **level 7** to **level 8** my **Venari Bonesmith** gained the **Dispel** ability which is a very useful ability particularly against cards that have the **Bloodlust** ability.   I made this upgrade with the **Little League** battle rule in mind where Venari Bonesmith becomes a very useful card. As the **third upgrade target** at the highest level at low cost I chose **Ever-Hungry Skull**.  I have 118 BCX in my collection and need to purchase another **282 BCX** for the maximum level.  I purchased 282 BCX from **Monstermarket** and spent **$2.23 = 2820 DEC**  In the transition from **level 6** to **level 10** my Ever-Hungry Skull acquired: - **+1 speed point: 3->4** - **+2 armor points: 9->11** - **+ Return Fire ability**  An inexpensive upgrade that will be especially useful to me in battles with precise battle rules such as battles where magic cards cannot be used: **Lost Magic** + Equalizer.  The [Splinterguide](https://splinterguide.com/) site also gives a good rating to Ever-Hungry Skull in **Diamond+** leagues: **rating 6.9** which is a good rating considering the very low cost of this card. Pelacor Arbalest is especially useful in battles that have the **rulesets: Going to Distance, Earthquacke, Close Range** and **Unprotected**. I purchased **54 BCX** and spent **$5.07 = 6402.72 DEC** + estimated cashback: 153.69 DEC  In the transition from **level 6** to **level 8** my Pelacor Arbalest acquired **+1 attack point** which thanks to the **Double Strike** skill equals **+2 attack points**.  As the **fifth upgrade target** at the highest level at relatively low cost, I chose **Regal Peryton**.   I purchased **67 BCX** and spent **$6,899 = 8706.46 DEC** + estimated cashback: 208.95 DEC  In the transition from **level 4** to **level 8** my Regal Peryton acquired: - **+1 speed point: 6->7** - **+2 life points: 6->8** - **+1 attack point: 2->3**  My Regal Peryton from level 4 to level 8 has jumped up quite a bit and will be especially useful in battles that have rulesets: **Wands Out** and **Earthquake**. Today I added 5 maximum level cards to my card collection that will be particularly useful in increasing my win rate in the Mondern Format ranked battles. I made inexpensive upgrades by speeding up the process of choosing which cards to upgrade by using the **Missing BCX** feature I wanted to show in this post, which is a very useful feature. In my opinion, this is also a good time to shop for cards because when phase 1.5 of lands begins, the cards may have a greater demand and thus may increase in value as may the DEC tokens that will be needed to activate the production of worker cards in the land plots (this is my personal opinion and is not financial advice).
