A Day at Lake Como Today I visited Lake Como, and honestly, it’s hard to put into words how beautiful it was. I went to Bellagio and Varenna, and I can easily say it’s one of the most stunning places I’ve ever been to.

I took the train to Varenna, and even that was an experience on its own. The view from the window was incredible — mountains, small villages, and at some point, the tracks ran right next to the lake. It might honestly be one of the best train views I’ve ever seen in my travels. When I arrived in Varenna, everything felt peaceful and perfectly Italian. The colorful houses, the flowers everywhere, the sound of the water — it just felt calm. I walked around the village, stopped for a coffee by the lake, and enjoyed how slow everything felt. Then I took the ferry across to Bellagio, and that short ride was amazing. The water, the light, the mountains around — it’s the kind of view that doesn’t feel real. Bellagio had more movement, more life. The streets were full of people walking, shopping, taking photos. The view from the top of the village, looking down at the lake, was something else.

What I loved most was how every corner looked perfect — not in a polished way, but naturally. The mix of the lake, the houses, and the mountains just works. By the end of the day, I was tired but in the best way. Como felt peaceful and alive at the same time. Definitely one of those places that stay in your mind long after you’ve left.
I will definitely come back to visit Menagio and thr city of como at some point !!
