Today is Friday (although it's already coming to an end), so Happy #FungiFriday everyone! (Better late than never). Today I'm sharing a species I've previously brought to the community, but this time I got a larger, rarer specimen. It's worth noting that mushrooms have been scarcer this year, perhaps due to a lack of humidity or substrate; the truth is, they'll be fewer in the 2025 season.

Para hoy comparto una especie que ya he traído previamente a la comunidad, pero esta vez conseguí un ejemplar más grande y más extraño. Cabe señalar que este año han sido más escasos los hongos, quizás por falta de humedad, quizás por falta de sustrato, lo cierto es que son menos en la temporada 2025.
A few days ago, in one of the remains of the tamarind, I was able to see a rare specimen of Enteridium lycoperdon, also known as Moon Mushrooms, and its synonym is Reticularia lycoperdon. Its size caught my attention, since the previous ones I found were much smaller and circular, however this one looked more like a potato than a mushroom.
> Días atrás, en uno de los restos del tamarindo, pude ver un raro ejemplar de Enteridium lycoperdon, también conocidos como Hongos de luna, y su sinónimo es Reticularia lycoperdon. Me llamó la atención su tamaño, ya que los anteriores que encontré, eran mucho más pequeños y circulares, en cambio este se parecía más a una patata que a un hongo.
Its color is light gray on one side and brown on the other, I'd say sepia. It has some small bumps on one side, which I don't really know what to attribute them to, I don't know exactly what they are. This specimen was there, alone, with no others around it.
> Su color es gris claro por un lado y marrón por el otro, diría sepia. Tiene unas pequeñas protuberancias en un lado, que no sé a qué atribuirlas, no sé exactamente qué son. Este ejemplar estaba allí, solo, sin otros alrededor.
As I explained in a previous post, these organisms tend to be circular, although this one grew differently. It's worth noting that moon fungi are not fungi, but rather myxomycetes, belonging to the Reticulariaceae family. A myxomycete is not a fungus but a protist, so it cannot be classified as an animal, a fungus, or a plant. Its structure is made up of eukaryotic cells.
> Como expliqué en un post anterior, estos organismos tienden a ser circulares, aunque este creció de un modo diferente. Cabe señalar que los hongos lunas no son hongos, sino mixomicetos, pertenecientes a la familia Reticulariaceae. Un mixomiceto, no es un hongo sino un protista, por lo que no puede clasificarse ni como animal, ni como hongo, ni como planta. Su estructura está conformada por células eucariotas.
