I encountered this parrot while I was walking through a park. I have never seen this kind of parrot in that area. Its name is monk parakeet. In spite of the fact that I was using a 10x zoom (equivalent to 230 mm in the full-frame format), the bird allowed me to get sufficiently close to take these pictures with the camera of my cell phone, a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Me topé con esta ave cuando estaba caminando por un parque. Nunca había visto estos pericos en esa área; se le conocen con el nombre de cotorras argentinas. Aunque estaba usando un teleobjetivo de 10x (equivalente a 230 mm en el formato de 35 mm), el pájaro permitió que me le acercara lo suficiente y estaba posando ante la cámara del celular (un Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra).
