#wednesdaywalk in the dunes

A couple of days ago I made a nice walk in the dunes. It's an area I've visited a few times in the past, but I hadn't been there for a while.

When I arrived at the parking place I thought it would be crowded, but luckily it's a large area. I did spot some other people, but it wasn't crowded. image.png

One of the reasons I didn't spot too many people is that I often don't pick the paved roads, but these nice sandy ones.

The dunes have all sorts of little trails though the dunes and the trees. 06.jpg

It's winter now, so there isn't a lot of green except from the pine trees and the moss that grows onto the sandy soil. 04.jpg

A bit further inland there are some waters that are called fens. The water is extremely clear. 03.jpg

Here's another one. 09.jpg

I really like the structures the wind makes in the sand of the dunes. 10.jpg

One of the few things that grow are the Pine cones. 07.jpg

And there are still some berries left. I think they must be poisonous or taste really bad because else the birds would already have eaten them. 13.jpg

And here's a macro shot of a dried out thistle. In summer these are nice green with a purple flower and attract lots of bees. 14.jpg

Photographing is my passion. Although I like photography in general, nature photography is one of my favourite subjects. I often go out with my camera for a hike to capture the beauty of nature. I'm sharing my photos on Hive, Noise.Cash & APPICS. I would love to read what you think of my photos in the comments.
