Impressively I still have pictures of the day I accompanied @ljfenix and her mother to say goodbye to Venezuela, and these are from the moment we walked to the airport. Supposedly I was the one who would guide her, but I confess that I was just as lost as they were, only God and the Virgin made us reach our destination. It was about eleven o'clock in the morning, so the sun was already beginning to make havoc, but since Maiquetia International Airport is in a coastal state at least we had a strong breeze that made the moment calmer.
Impresionantemente aún tengo fotografías del día que acompañé a @ljfenix y su madre a despedirse de Venezuela, y estas son del momento que caminamos a el aeropuerto. Supuestamente yo era quien la guiaría, pero les confieso que estaba igual de perdido que ellas, solo Dios y la Virgen nos hicieron llegar hasta nuestro destino. Eran aproximadamente las once de la mañana, así que el sol ya estaba comenzando a hacer estragos, pero ya que el Aeropuerto Internacional de Maiquetía queda en un Estado costero al menos teníamos un fuerte brisa que hizo el momento más tranquilo.
I'm talking about many kilometers on foot, I wanted to take this girl by cab, but there is no power of God that can convince a woman who wants to save 😅 No, lie! The truth is that I was surprised how small her suitcase was, so the walk would not hurt us, but boy was I surprised that in La Guaira there was not even a cloud to cover us from the inclement sun, and to top it off and after so much walking we arrived at the National Airport and not the international 🤣 but it was fun to know more spaces of this place, which I highlight that it was beautiful and was very clean, something that makes me very happy because it is the first thing tourists see when they arrive in Venezuela.
Estoy hablando de muchos kilómetros a pie, quise llevar a esta chica en taxi, pero no hay poder de Dios que pueda convencer a una mujer que quiere ahorrar 😅 ¡No, mentira! La verdad es que me sorprendió lo pequeña que era su maleta, así que la caminata no nos vendría mal, pero vaya que me sorprendió que en La Guaira no había ni una nube que nos cubriera del inclemente sol, y para colmo y luego de tanto caminar llegamos al Aeropuerto Nacional y no al internacional 🤣 pero fue divertido conocer más espacios de este lugar, que destaco que era hermoso y estaba muy limpio, algo que me alegra mucho porque es lo primero que ven los turistas al llegar a Venezuela.
For me it was a healing walk, and I needed to connect with nature, the sun, the breeze, I needed to breathe different air. I had been sick for four days, locked up at home and going out to concerts with discomfort, and suddenly I was near the coast with these girls with great charisma and lots of energy, in a strong day emotionally speaking. It did me a lot of good to accompany them, to get to know them, and I was inspired by the feeling of migration and the courage that comes with it. After this walk there was a lot of paperwork and a nice lunch, but in the end only two of the three of us together would return to Caracas.
Para mí fue una caminata sanadora, y es que necesitaba conectar con la naturaleza, el sol, la brisa, necesitaba respirar aires distintos. Venía de cuatro días enfermo, encerrado en casa y saliendo a conciertos con malestar, y de pronto estaba cerca de la costa con estas chicas de gran carisma y mucha energía, en un día fuerte emocionalmente hablando. Me hizo mucho bien acompañarlas, conocerlas y me dejé inspirar por el sentimiento de migración y la valentía que eso conlleva. Luego de esta caminata hubo mucho papeleo y un rico almuerzo, pero al final solo dos de los tres que estábamos juntos volveríamos a Caracas.
After leaving our package on the plane to Medellin the walking tour continued, and as we had the smallest heart Luisa and I looked for a way to focus on the positive. The return was quite an adventure and we were more relaxed, since we were not racing against the clock, and most importantly, we knew the way, plus the satisfaction that everything went very well. We walked for a while along the Simon Bolivar Boulevard and then we looked for the footbridges that would take us to the other end of the avenue. Really two high and very long walkways, but from there you can appreciate a beautiful view and let yourself be carried away by the cool breeze of the afternoon.
Luego de dejar nuestro paquete en el avión rumbo a Medellín el paseo a pie continuó, y como teníamos el corazón más chiquito Luisa y yo buscamos la manera de enfocarnos en lo positivo. El regreso fue toda una aventura y estábamos más tranquilos, ya que no corríamos contra el reloj, y lo más importante, conocíamos el camino, además de la satisfacción de que todo salió muy bien. Caminamos un rato por el Boulevard Simón Bolívar y luego buscamos las pasarelas que nos llevarían hasta el otro extremo de la avenida. Realmente dos pasarelas altas y muy largas, pero desde allí se puede apreciar una vista hermosa y te dejas llevar por la fresca brisa de la tarde.
For me, this was an unexpected day, and I think for my companions as well. The three of us were thrown into the unknown and somehow we were united in mind and spirit throughout the day, even when the three of us were in different places at night. It was a special day, of learning, adventures and a lot of love; in fact I dare say there were more people connected with us, people in Sucre, people in Colombia. That day was possible thanks to many involved, the three of us were just the ones in charge of making the farewell easier, and I am so glad that the way to the airport was on foot 🙏
Para mí, este fue un día inesperado, y creo que para mis acompañantes también. Los tres nos lanzamos a lo desconocido y de alguna manera estuvimos unido en mente y espíritu durante todo el día, incluso cuando los tres estábamos en lugares distintos en la noche. Fue un día especial, de aprendizaje, aventuras y mucho amor; de hecho me atrevo a decir que había más personas conectadas con nosotros, gente en Sucre, gente en Colombia. Ese día fue posible gracias a muchos involucrados, nosotros tres solo fuimos los encargados de hacer la despedida más fácil, y me alegra mucho que el camino hacia el aeropuerto haya sido a pie 🙏
