Estas vacaciones me están gustando un montón, porque sin duda las estamos disfrutando mucho más que otras vacaciones, y es que hemos hecho muchas cosas divertidas en casa y fuera de ella, como por ejemplo salir de paseo a los centros comerciales, y ayer justamente hicimos un recorrido por los Sambil y Costa Azul porque Miranda quería tomar algunas fotos para un post que publicó hoy en la nueva comunidad [Hive Margarita](https://peakd.com/c/hive-155749/created), y como la idea era ubicar algunas tiendas con artículos de la cultura K-pop nos tocó caminar un montón.
Recorrimos el C.C. Parque Costa Azul por completo, y fue así como descubrí una serie de esculturas del artista **Augusto Acosta**, de quien no sabía absolutamente nada, así que por supuesto al llegar a casa para salir de mi ignorancia Googlee su nombre, y descubrí que se trata de un escultor nacido en Bolivia que por diversos motivos terminó viviendo en nuestro país, específicamente en la capital, pero después de una visita a esta mágica isla llamada Margatita decidió que ella sería su *"felices por siempre"* y desde ese entonces vive aquí, dedicado a hacer lo que ama.
I'm really enjoying these vacations, because we are enjoying them much more than other vacations, and we have done a lot of fun things at home and out of it, like going out to the malls, and yesterday we went to the Sambil and Costa Azul because Miranda wanted to take some pictures for a post she published today in the new community [Hive Margarita](https://peakd.com/c/hive-155749/created), and as the idea was to locate some stores with K-pop culture items we had to walk a lot. We walked around the entire C.C. Parque Costa Azul completely, and that's how I discovered a series of sculptures of the artist **Augusto Acosta**, of whom I knew absolutely nothing, so of course when I got home to get out of my ignorance I googled his name, and discovered that he is a sculptor born in Bolivia that for various reasons ended up living in our country, specifically in the capital, but after a visit to this magical island called Margatita decided that she would be his *"happily ever after "* and since then he lives here, dedicated to do what he loves.     Aclarada la identidad del artista les cuento que la muestra de la que les hablo se encuentra en los alrededores de la tienda Multimax del centro comercial, así que si la quieren ver sin tener que caminar demasiado, pueden entrar por la puerta llamada **Palma**, donde se encontrarán con 7 esculturas de diferentes tamaños y elaboradas en diferentes materiales, como arcilla, hierro y madera policromada. Cada una contando una historia diferente. Una de mis favoritas es la primera que te encuentras al entrar por la puerta que les comento arriba, y se trata de una escultura que representa muy bien a nuestra tierra y que tiene por nombre **Hombres del Mar**. Una escultura enorme elaborada en hierro, que por cierto ya muestra signos de oxidación, cosa que a mi parecer hace que se vea más interesante aún.
Clarified the identity of the artist I tell you that the sample of which I speak is located in the vicinity of the Multimax store in the mall, so if you want to see it without having to walk too much, you can enter through the door called **Palma**, where you will find 7 sculptures of different sizes and made of different materials, such as clay, iron and polychrome wood. Each one telling a different story. One of my favorites is the first one you find when you enter through the door I mentioned above, and it is a sculpture that represents our land very well and is called **Men of the Sea**. A huge sculpture made of iron, which by the way already shows signs of rust, which in my opinion makes it look even more interesting.   Esta pieza nos muestra la figura de tres pescadores levantando por encima de sus cabezas el fruto de su trabajo, y particularmente a mi me parece que la figura a la derecha de sus pantallas es una mujer, y aunque no es muy común verlas en la faena de la pesca, sí las hay. Otra de las piezas que capturó mi atención tiene por nombre **Cachama** una pieza en arcilla que muestra una de las especies de peces más populares en nuestros mares y que me pareció bastante linda por sus formas curvas y su color blanco hueso.
This piece shows the figure of three fishermen lifting above their heads the fruit of their work, and particularly to me it seems that the figure to the right of their screens is a woman, and although it is not very common to see them in the work of fishing, there are. Another of the pieces that captured my attention is called **Cachama** a clay piece that shows one of the most popular fish species in our seas and that I found quite nice for its curved shapes and off-white color.   La siguiente es otra escultura de hierro llamada **Las mareras**, una escultura bastante alta que muestra a dos mujeres con **maras** en sus cabezas, una especie de cesta tejida tradicional en nuestra isla, que es usada para vender algunos productos como pescado, frutas y algunos alimentos, que se ubicaba en la cabeza sobre una pieza de tela *enrollada* para que no se deslice, y con la cual solían caminar las mujeres con mucha destreza. Y por último pero no menos importante está otra escultura en hierro que aunque se llama **Madre Pescadora**, para mí representa más a una vendedora de pescado pues lleva sobre su cabeza una *'mara"* llena de ellos, y por supuesto con su niño al lado. Clara representación de las mujeres trabajadoras de esta tierra Margariteña.
The next one is another iron sculpture called **Las mareras**, a rather tall sculpture that shows two women with **maras** on their heads, a kind of traditional woven basket in our island, which is used to sell some products such as fish, fruits and some food, which was placed on the head on a piece of cloth *rolled* so that it does not slip, and with which women used to walk with great dexterity. And last but not least is another sculpture in iron that although it is called **Madre Pescadora**, for me represents more of a fish seller because she carries on her head a *'mara "* full of fish, and of course with her child by her side. Clear representation of the working women of this land Margariteña.     La verdad yo disfruté muchísimo de esta pequeña exposición porque ya les he comentado lo mucho que me encanta todo lo que tiene que ver con la pesca artesanal como herencia de nuestro pueblo, y que generación tras generación se sigue transmitiendo de padres a hijos. Así que para mí fue algo súper especial, muy significativa además de hermosa.
I really enjoyed this small exhibition because I have already told you how much I love everything that has to do with artisanal fishing as a heritage of our people, and that generation after generation continues to be transmitted from parents to children. So for me it was something super special, very meaningful as well as beautiful.
