Hello, Hiver friends and fellow art enthusiasts! How are you doing? I hope you're having a wonderful day. Let me share my latest coffee artwork I created today.
This artwork captures a sunset forest path, where soft light creates an attractive interplay of light and shadow that adds depth to the landscape. The scene evokes a sense of peace and calmness. It's an invitation to appreciate the simple beauty of nature.
I used three types of painting brushes for this piece, and it took me an hour to finish it. For those who are interested in trying this unique medium, you can follow the step-by-step basic methods below.
Materials Needed:
๐ Watercolor Paper, sketching Paper, or stretched canvas
๐ Pencil and Eraser
๐ Coffee Powder
๐ 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
๐ Ruler
๐ Clean Water
๐ Rag
๐ Paper napkin or paper towel
Brushes:
๐ Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
๐ Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
๐ Filbert brush
Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.
Basic Procedure:
โข Outline or sketch your painting reference.
โข Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
โข On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
โข The same procedure as the foreground.
โข Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
โข Then add details to bring your painting to life. I used a liner brush for the thin details.
Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.
