Hi everyone! Happy New Year!!!💜💜💜
2021 has been the wildest and most productive year for me so far. It will be really difficult to outdo it in 2022, but I will certainly try. 💜😁 I must say it really flew by, but also a lot has happened in relatively short time. This is quite a long post, so I've decided to cut it up into 2 part, half a year each post.
I also hope to make a small brainstorming/plan for 2022 (no promises though, as I like to be flexible and I just want to organize various ideas I have) Feel free to request art process post for any of the paintings I've shared below and haven't covered before. I plan to share the process for The Magic Garden and a few others, but I also don't want to be too repetitive. My art process is pretty similar from painting to painting.
To start it off, my last year's resolution was to do 1 year of daily sketches. Really happy to share that I managed to complete the challenge and I believe it greatly helped me as an artist. I want to finish a lot of the dailies into detailed paintings, but I keep getting new ideas so I'm working through them very slowly. At least I have a lot of backup sketches for whenever I'm out of ideas.
(This is the first half year of dailies, I still need to take the time to properly compile the second half. There are just so many files)

My New Year's resolution for this year is to actually Meditation/journaling daily. I'm not as strict as I was with Daily sketches, but I feel that meditation will be very helpful in improving my focus and self control when it comes to finishing projects.
My first NFT of 2021 was a Cat flying to the Moon- I guess I predicted 2021 pretty well 😂 The kitty is owned by MrMe3p 💜

In February I got a Cintiq and have been painting on it since. This was a huge step and a dream for me becoming a professional artist. I've been developing several distinct art style simultaneously. The styles affect each other, but they're also really different in colors and elements I use. One of my goals is to push details and perspective further for 2022.

I've almost reached 200 Pixel Cats for 2021. I was tempted to mint a few more just to reach that milestone, but I decided quality is more important than sticking to unnecessary deadlines. I definitely want to finish the Zodiac Cats in the following couple of months. Also got a 3D printed that I need to learn how to use ;)

I still can't believe I got to collab with the created of Nyan Cat, @PRguitarman who is incredibly sweet and friendly, really an awesome creator and a positive influence in the art community. I remember as a teen listening to the Nyan Cat song and it was one of the first Memes I really vibed with. 😊
