Saludos hivers. Cuando hablamos de aves muy populares pero a la vez misteriosas, sin duda alguna que el búho está entre las tres primeras. Esta robusta ave de inmensos y expresivos ojos y mirada penetrante e intimidante, ha sido protagonista de historias y leyendas desde tiempos ancestrales, en algunas de forma positiva y en otras, negativa. En la antigua Grecia, y la actual también, el búho era símbolo de sabiduría, buena suerte, claridad mental, inteligencia y autoridad, y es el acompañante de la diosa Atenea. Para los griegos, los búhos representan un buen augurio y es muy común encontrar souvenirs y otros objetos turísticos con su imagen. Por otro lado, en sudamérica y países como Japón, entre otros, la consideran un ave que anuncia malos presagios y la muerte.
>Hello hivers. When we talk about very popular yet mysterious birds, the owl is undoubtedly among the top three. This robust bird with immense, expressive eyes and a penetrating, intimidating gaze has been the protagonist of stories and legends since ancient times, some positively and others negatively. In ancient Greece, and today as well, the owl was a symbol of wisdom, good luck, mental clarity, intelligence, and authority, and is the companion of the goddess Athena. For the Greeks, owls represented a good omen, and it's very common to find souvenirs and other tourist objects bearing their image. On the other hand, in South America and countries like Japan, among others, the owl is considered a bird that heralds bad omens and death.
Para mí es un ave espectacular, y siempre la he asociado con la sabiduría y el conocimiento. Tomando todo esto como inspiración, me provocó dibujar un búho, esto será interesante así que los invito a disfrutar del paso a paso 👌🏻. Es algo complicado hacer fotos sobre fondo oscuro, sobretodo a la hora que el día estaba mas soleado 🥴, había mucha luz por todos lados 😬😂🤷🏻♀️, así que las primeras fotos son indicio de esto 🙈.
>To me, it's a spectacular bird, and I've always associated it with wisdom and knowledge. Taking all this as inspiration, I wanted to draw an owl. This will be interesting, so I invite you to enjoy the step-by-step instructions 👌🏻. It's a bit complicated to take photos on a dark background, especially at the time when the day was sunniest 🥴, there was a lot of light everywhere 😬😂🤷🏻♀️, so the first photos are an indication of this 🙈.

Como quise dibujar un búho en un entorno nevado, elegí un fondo oscuro para hacer contarse con el color blanco que iba a ser predominante, así que los materiales que utilicé fueron: cartulina negra, lápices de colores, blanco, azules, grises, negro, amarillo, anaranjado, marrón claro y oscuro, borra, marcador negro, pintura blanca y lápiz de ojos de color blanco. Empecé haciendo el boceto con un lápiz blanco, a mí me gusta usar la técnica de las formas geométricas. >Since I wanted to draw an owl in a snowy setting, I chose a dark background to complement the predominant white color. So, the materials I used were: black cardstock, colored pencils (white, blue, gray, black, yellow, orange, light and dark brown), eraser, a black marker, white paint, and white eyeliner. I started the sketch with a white pencil; I like to use the geometric shape technique.     Seguidamente usé lápices azules y grises para marcar sombras y con el blanco empecé a resaltar las plumas. También usé naranja, blanco y negro para el pico.     A esta especie de buho se le conoce como búho de las nieves, búho del Ártico o búho nival (Bubo scandiacus), son blancos con manchas negras en la cabeza, el vientre y las alas y habitan exclusivamente en la tundra de Asia, América y Europa. Sigamos con el dibujo 🖍️. Empecé a colorear las pequeñas plumas negras y todas las plumas blancas, lo fuí haciendo de forma envolvente para darle volumen al cuerpo de esta bella ave rapaz. >This species of owl, known as the snowy owl or Arctic owl (Bubo scandiacus), is white with black spots on the head, belly, and wings, and lives exclusively in the tundra of Asia, America, and Europe. Let's continue with the drawing 🖍️. I started by coloring the small black feathers and all the white feathers, doing it in a circular motion to give volume to the body of this beautiful bird of prey.    Observen los detalles del ala que está a la derecha, es importante seguir la curvatura para crear ese efecto natural que tienen las plumas de esa zona. >Look at the details of the wing on the right; it's important to follow the curvature to create the natural effect that the feathers in that area have.   Estamos en la tundra así que empecé a dibujar el entorno, nieve, algunas ramas secas en primer plano y otras mas alejadas, todo usando tonos azules, grises y por supuesto, blanco. El clima es extremo y el suelo congelado 🥶. >We're in the tundra, so I started drawing the surroundings: snow, some dry branches in the foreground and others further away, all using shades of blue, gray, and, of course, white. The weather is extreme, and the ground is frozen 🥶.     Es imposible imaginar un búho y no pensar en esos grandes, fascinantes y misteriosos ojos amarillos que observan el mundo con la frialdad del hielo y la intensidad del fuego ❄️🔥. Ojos que hipnotizan e intimidan hasta al mas temerario. Así fueron cobrando vida los protagonistas de este dibujo. Primero usé un lápiz negro para delinear los ojos y dibujar la pupila, luego pinté con dos tonos de amarillo y oscurecí con anaranjado y un poquito de gris, al final pasé un marcador negro para resaltar aún mas la mirada. También usé el marcador negro para remarcar las plumas negras y el pico. >It's impossible to imagine an owl and not think of those large, fascinating, and mysterious yellow eyes that observe the world with the coldness of ice and the intensity of fire ❄️🔥. Eyes that hypnotize and intimidate even the most reckless. This is how the protagonists of this drawing came to life. First, I used a black pencil to outline the eyes and draw the pupil, then I painted with two shades of yellow and darkened with orange and a little bit of gray. Finally, I used a black marker to further highlight the gaze. I also used the black marker to highlight the black feathers and the beak.        Con un poquito de pintura blanca agregué los toques de luz en los ojos para darle realismo. Los lápices de colores blancos no dibujan con suficiente intensidad, sobretodo cuando se usa una cartulina oscura, así que en esos casos, yo utilizo un lápiz de ojos de color blanco, sí, ese mismo que es para maquillarse jeje, es súper cremoso y me deja el dibujo tal cual como quiero que se vea 😃😁. Fíjense la diferencia y como ayuda a resaltar las plumas, la luz y la nieve ❄️🤍👌🏻, me encanta. >With a little bit of white paint, I added the highlights to the eyes to give them realism. White colored pencils don't draw with enough intensity, especially when using dark cardboard, so in those cases, I use a white eyeliner pencil, yes, the same one used for makeup, hehe. It's super creamy and leaves the drawing just how I want it to look 😃😁. Notice the difference and how it helps highlight the feathers, the light, and the snow ❄️🤍👌🏻, I love it.    Y aquí les presento el resultado final. Desde la lejana y gélida tundra donde las temperaturas son extremas, el silencio es tan frio como el hielo y el color blanco encandila la vista humana, este búho del Ártico nos observa con esos ardientes ojos que destacan como dos llamas de fuego entre la nieve. ¿Fascinación o miedo? Una sola cosa es cierta, su innegable belleza 🤍. >And here I present the final result. From the distant, icy tundra where temperatures are extreme, the silence is as cold as ice, and the white color dazzles the human eye, this Arctic owl stares at us with those fiery eyes that stand out like two flames of fire in the snow.
