Nothing but Medicine...💊

I created this digital mixed-media artwork titled “Nothing but Medicine…” the other day. I used an AI generator to create the figure of the lady, then incorporated a Japanese crane image, which is a very traditional Japanese motif. My family emblem is a crane. I also added images of medicine, thunder, a virus, a crying angel, pine trees, and more. I painted the background colours myself and digitally processed them afterward.

My new medication, which I’ve been taking for a few weeks, is almost finished. Phew! It’s been quite challenging to handle. I needed to take extra anti-nausea medicine to continue the treatment. It was much stronger compared to my last medication, and I even had vivid dreams as a side effect. The dreams were actually quite interesting, but the side effects were tough.

I’ve created artwork before that was also connected to my medication. I think when I put my energy into art, my feelings of sickness fade at least a little. This time, the Japanese crane symbolizes protection, as if it’s trying to guard my body or take the bad parts away. The crying lady represents me exactly. The medication is fighting the illness inside my body.

Hopefully, my body will soon adjust and move toward recovery. I’m just about to finish all of the medicine.

薬ばっかり…

先日、「薬ばっかり…」というタイトルのデジタル・ミクストメディアアートを制作しました。女性の姿はAIで生成し、その後、伝統的な日本の絵柄である鶴のイメージを取り入れました。私の家紋も鶴です。さらに、薬、雷、ウイルス、泣いている天使、松の木などのイメージを重ね、背景の色は手描き、デジタル加工を全体に施しました。

数週間続けてきた新しい薬も、もうすぐ終わりです。ふう……かなり大変でした。薬を続けるために、吐き気止めを追加で飲む必要がありました。前回の薬よりもずっと強く、その副作用で 鮮明な夢を見ることもありました。夢自体はとても興味深かったのですが、副作用はつらかったです。

これまでも薬に関連したアートを作ってきました。アートに気持ちを注ぐことで、少しでも体調の悪さが薄れていくような気がするのです。今回は、鶴が私の体を守り、悪い部分を取り去ろうとしているイメージです。泣いている女性はまさに私自身で、薬が体の中の悪い部分と戦っている姿を表しています。

もうすぐ薬も飲み終えるので、体が回復に向かってくれることを願っています。
