La primicia de que podía cambiar o adaptar su vestuario dependiendo de que tema interpretaba me fascino y me sigue gustando al día de hoy, como siguen diseñándole miles de trajes temáticos.

Guiándonos de la imagen referencial, el cual podremos ver mucha inspiración a lo que parece ser una planta carnívora con colores muy tropicales, muy fuertes a la vista pero al mismo tiempo mezclados y distribuidos de manera estratégica.
Armamos el bosquejo del cuerpo y el ojo en el que está postrado para poder guiarnos, observen como utilizando círculos y líneas de la manera tradicional podremos formar el cuerpo del personaje.
En este paso vamos a delinear todo muy bien con tinta china y marcador negro como base de coloreado para algunas partes oscuras y tratando de variar entre líneas oscuras y gruesas y líneas super delgadas.
Una vez terminado el boceto, borramos todo para poder pintar y que el color no se nos manche, en esta oportunidad voy a utilizar colores.
# COLOREANDO
Al momento de colorear siempre empiezo por el color base, el cual estoy acostumbrado a que sea un tono muy claro para luego ir oscureciendo donde podrían ir las sombras del mismo color y así sucesivamente.
Para el color verde del ojo voy a utilizar lapicero para ese color vibrante e intercalar con colores muy claros de diferentes tonos.
Ahora que estoy usando tinta china veo que al momento de borrar todo me queda mucho más pulido, claro hay que tener mucho cuidado para no manchar y que no se corra la tinta.
Y comenzamos colocando un rojo intenso con el marcador y con color más claro con destellos rosa, de la misma manera coloreamos el cabello, siempre guiándonos de las sombras y luces del arte original.

Es cierto que no logre unificar el color negro como habría querido porque lo hice con carboncillo y dejaba espacios en blanco y tuve miedo de difuminar, ya que podría manchar los otros colores.
Ya terminado el diseño he de decir, aunque me gusta mucho el resultado, aunque con práctica y constancia siempre se puede mejorar.

We put together a sketch of the body and the eye it's positioned on to guide us. Notice how we can form the character's body using traditional circles and lines.
In this step we are going to outline everything very well with India ink and black marker as a coloring base for some dark parts and trying to vary between dark and thick lines and super thin lines.
Once the sketch is finished, we erase everything so we can paint and the color doesn't get stained. This time I'm going to use colors.
# COLORING
When coloring, I always start with the base color, which I'm used to using as a very light shade, then darken where the shadows of the same color would go, and so on.
For the green eye color, I'll use a pencil for that vibrant color and alternate with very light colors of different shades.
Now that I'm using India ink, I find that when I erase everything, it looks much more polished. Of course, you have to be very careful not to smudge or run the ink.
And we start by adding a deep red with the marker and a lighter color with pink highlights. We color the hair in the same way, always using the shadows and highlights of the original artwork as a guide.
It's true that I wasn't able to unify the black as I would have liked because I did it with charcoal, leaving blank spaces, and I was afraid of blending, as it might stain the other colors.
Once the design is finished, I have to say that, although I really like the result, with practice and perseverance, there's always room for improvement.
