Mi visita al jardín japonés de Buenos Aires (Parte I) [Es-En]

 Como casi toda mi generación crecí consumiendo producciones japonesas, pues ¿Qué niño de los 90 no miró Dragón Ball, los Caballeros del Zodiaco o Sailor Moon? por nombrar algunos clasicos. La revolución tecnológica y la entrada del internet en nuestros hogares nos dio acceso a más contenido, no solo de anime, también de mangas y toda clase de películas. Es así como mi generación conoció y se conectó con la cultura japonesa. Quizá por todo eso, cuando decidí migrar para Argentina, ya sabía de la existencia del jardín japonés de Buenos Aires.  El año pasado cuando llegué a este bello país me dije: "tengo que ir", pero llegué en invierno (mejor época para ir porque florecen los cerezos) de un país tropical ... así que me enfermé y luego me ocupé en buscar trabajo y adaptarme a la ciudad... No era momento de turistear, no había presupuesto para eso y la entrada al jardín japonés no es gratis. Si bien los residentes pagan mucho menos que los turistas, se paga una entrada y yo sin trabajo y aún sin residencia... La visita tendría que esperar.  En un parpadeo pasó un año y con una nueva temporada de cerezos en flor el jardín japonés me invitaba, pero yo sin decidirme. Aún teniéndolo cerquita de casa, lo dejaba para un después que nunca llegaba.  Finalmente el domingo pasado los astros se alinearon para llevarme a esa visita tan especial. Último día de las vacaciones de invierno y temporada alta por la floración de los cerezos (Sakura) el jardín estaba a reventar de tanta gente como pueden ver en las fotos. Y aunque fue muy incómodo hacer fotos y disfrutar de las instalaciones no dejé que eso me impidiera ser feliz y disfrutar de su belleza y de la emoción de por fin visitar ese mágico lugar.  Cada paso dentro de las instalaciones me sorprendió con alguna curiosidad o detalle hermoso. Nada más llegar nos recibió un aguilucho que parecía está muy cómodo con la gente y la atención de los visitantes.  El jardín está lleno de plantas bellísimas, esculturas y arquitectura alegórica a la cultura japonesa. Me quedé embobada con el paisaje de ensueño.   Decidí dividir mi visita por partes porque fue una experiencia llena de detalles, que intenté capturar en fotografías (muchas tomadas a ciegas por la cantidad de personas que no me dejaban encuadrar las escenas), de igual manera hubo espacios que no pude visitar porque habían demasiadas personas. Quedará para una próxima visita.  Muchos de los visitantes compraban una de estas tarjetitas para escribir sus deseos de prosperidad y los dejaban allí colgados junto con su plegaria de abundancia, salud y éxito.   De pie en un puente abarrotado disfruté un breve instante de la vista de los peces que se acercaban a saludar, quizá esperando les dieran algunas chucherías.  De mi paso bajo los cerezos les dejaré las fotos en mi próxima publicación; esas fotos se merecen ser las protagonistas de su propio espacio, y para que ustedes se relajen y disfruten de la belleza de esos colores.  También fotografié unas esculturas preciosas hechas de madera, que son tan bonitas e interesantes que se merecen su propio capítulo.  Salí del jardín llena de buenas energías y deseando volver un día menos concurrido para disfrutar un poco más de sus hermosos espacios. What '90s kid didn't watch Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya, or Sailor Moon, to name a few classics? The technological revolution and the introduction of the internet into our homes gave us access to more content, not just anime, but also manga and all kinds of movies. This is how my generation learned about and connected with Japanese culture. Perhaps because of all this, when I decided to migrate to Argentina, I already knew about the Japanese garden in Buenos Aires.  Last year, when I arrived in this beautiful country, I said to myself, "I have to go." But I arrived in winter (the best time to go because the cherry blossoms are in bloom) from a tropical country... so I got sick and then had to worry about finding a job and adapting to the city... It wasn't the time to be a tourist; there wasn't a budget for it, and admission to the Japanese garden isn't free. While residents pay much less than tourists, there is an entrance fee, and since I'm unemployed and still without residency... The visit would have to wait.  In the blink of an eye, a year passed, and with a new cherry blossom season, the Japanese garden beckoned, but I couldn't decide. Even though it was close to home, I kept putting it off for a later time that never came.  Finally, last Sunday, the stars aligned to bring me on that special visit. On the last day of winter break and peak season for the cherry blossom season (Sakura), the garden was packed with people, as you can see in the photos. And although it was very uncomfortable taking photos and enjoying the facilities, I didn't let that stop me from being happy and enjoying its beauty and the excitement of finally visiting this magical place.  Every step inside the facilities surprised me with some curious or beautiful detail. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by an eaglet who seemed very comfortable with the people and the attention of the visitors.  The garden is full of beautiful plants, sculptures, and architecture alluding to Japanese culture. I was amazed by the dreamlike landscape.   I decided to divide my visit into parts because it was an experience full of details, which I tried to capture in photographs (many taken blindly due to the number of people who wouldn't let me frame the scenes). There were also spaces I couldn't visit because there were too many people. I'll leave that for a future visit.  Many visitors bought one of these little cards to write their wishes for prosperity and left them hanging there along with their prayers for abundance, health, and success.   Standing on a crowded bridge, I briefly enjoyed the sight of fish coming up to say hello, perhaps hoping to be given some goodies.  I'll leave you the photos of my time under the cherry trees in my next post; they deserve to be the centerpieces of their own space, so you can relax and enjoy the beauty of those colors.  I also photographed some beautiful wooden sculptures, which are so beautiful and interesting that they deserve their own chapter.  I left the garden full of good energy and looking forward to returning on a less crowded day to enjoy its beautiful spaces a little more.
