La Semana Santa es una cultura religiosa de la iglesia católica, en esta semana recordamos la vida, pasión y muerte de Jesucristo. Para los creyentes católicos es inmensa la Fe demostrada en cada actividad a la cual se asiste, para ello hay programaciones en cada parroquia para hacer el ritual emanado de la iglesia católica en cada comunidad.

Por lo general, el ritual del Viacrucis acostumbraba a hacerlo como parte de las obligaciones como estudiante en la edad escolar, bachillerato luego como docente de aula, de acuerdo a la programación de cada escuela, además iba enlazada con la iglesia más cercana a la escuela, en esto la escuela recibía una invitación para ser partícipe en esta actividad. La zona donde vivo, organizan el viacrucis, he participado en algunos, por otras razones he evitado la estación asignada en mi casa. Últimamente mi participación ha sido nula en esta actividad.

En La cultura de mis padres un viaje o un paseo nunca estuvo en su organización, aunque las comidas si, igual los juegos tradicionales de estos días mi madre hacía lo posible enseñarlos. Estaba el juego con las zarandas, otro juego con caramelos…era parte de mantener sus tradiciones con las cuales creció, en señal de los días festivos con la Semana Santa.

Con mi esposo e hijos, cuando estaban pequeños me daba el permiso de participar con su familia en su finca, pasar esos días allá, en piscina, música y comida. Luego, me retiré un poco de ello, he preferido quedarme en casa para estos días. Siento, más tranquilidad y dar el verdadero sentido a estos días santos.

En mi mente siento estar sin recuerdos acerca de rituales por parte de mi abuela materna, creo lo más común era ir a la iglesia para la bendición del agua bendita, para tenerla en casa para casos especiales.

Mi preparación para días de Semana Santa es estar concentrada en los ingredientes de las comidas tradicionales, en Venezuela aquí le llamamos cuajado, este es con pescado, para ello se decide qué tipo de pescado se utilizará para esto. En particular me gusta mucho con el Atún. Entre los dulces, el arroz con coco, con leche, jalea de mango entre otros parte de lo que recuerdo de mi abuela para estas fechas.

Dentro de las recetas preparadas, hay grupos a los cuales les encanta el cuajado de morrocoy (siempre me he preguntado ¿por qué?)... para mí los morrocoyes son intocables, me crié en un patio lleno de morrocoyes y nadie nunca pensó en comerlos. En Venezuela, cada quien tiene sus tradiciones, todo ha variado mucho por diferentes razones. Cada quien decide que hacer en estos días, a mi me gusta estar en casa.

Holy Week is a religious culture of the Catholic Church, in this week we remember the life, passion and death of Jesus Christ. For Catholic believers is immense Faith demonstrated in each activity which is attended, for this there are programs in each parish to make the ritual emanating from the Catholic Church in each community.

In general, the ritual of the Stations of the Cross used to be done as part of the obligations as a student in the school age, high school and then as a classroom teacher, according to the schedule of each school, it was also linked to the church closest to the school, in this the school received an invitation to participate in this activity. In the area where I live, they organize the Stations of the Cross, I have participated in some, for other reasons I have avoided the station assigned in my house. Lately my participation has been null in this activity.

In my parents' culture a trip or a walk was never in their organization, although the meals were, just as the traditional games of these days my mother did her best to teach them. There was the game with the sands, another game with candies...it was part of maintaining her traditions with which she grew up, as a sign of the holidays with the Holy Week.

With my husband and children, when they were young, he gave me the permission to participate with his family in his farm, to spend those days there, with swimming pool, music and food. Then, I withdrew a little from it, I preferred to stay at home for these days. I feel, more tranquility and give the true sense to these holy days.

In my mind I feel to be without memories about rituals by my maternal grandmother, I think the most common was to go to church for the blessing of holy water, to have it at home for special cases.

My preparation for Holy Week days is to be concentrated in the ingredients of the traditional meals, in Venezuela here we call it cuajado, this is with fish, for this you decide what kind of fish you will use for this. In particular I like it very much with tuna. Among the sweets, rice with coconut, with milk, mango jelly among others part of what I remember from my grandmother for these dates.

Among the prepared recipes, there are groups that love morrocoy curd (I have always wondered why?...for me morrocoys are untouchable, I grew up in a yard full of morrocoys and nobody ever thought of eating them. In Venezuela, everyone has their own traditions, everything has varied a lot for different reasons. Everyone decides what to do these days, I like to be at home.
