PeakD Notification Improvements – More Control Over What You See
Earlier this month we introduced the new customizable notification system on PeakD. If you missed that announcement, you can read it here: New Customizable Notifications on PeakD
That system (powered by the Peak Open backend) lets you switch to a modern, more detailed, and configurable notification engine. Since the October 13 release, we’ve made some small but important improvements to give you even finer control.
Since that release, we’ve listened to early feedback from users on Hive and Discord. Two common requests came up: 1) “Can I filter out my own actions?” and 2) “Can I hide tiny upvotes so my feed isn’t cluttered?” We’re happy to announce that both features are now live.

New Filters and Options
1. Exclude self-interactions You can now filter out your own actions from your notifications. These filters are available for:
- Votes → Exclude self votes
- Replies → Exclude self replies
- Mentions → Exclude self mentions
This is especially useful for users who manage multiple accounts or curate with voting trails—you’ll see only interactions from others, not your own automated ones.
2. Minimum vote threshold
Don’t want to see small votes in your notifications?
Set a minimum vote value (in USD) to filter out low-value votes. For example, setting it to 0.20 means you’ll only see notifications for votes worth $0.20 or more.
3. Transfer dust filter Small token transfers (less than 0.003 HIVE or HBD) can now be filtered automatically. You’ll find this option under the Transfers section as “Filter dust transfers.” It’s a simple way to remove spam or micro-transactions from your feed.
SWITCH TO NEW SYSTEM NOW
Because the Peak Open system can notify you of many more transaction types—including key changes, vesting route updates and internal market activities —we encourage everyone to switch over and try these new filters. They make it easier to focus on the interactions that matter most to you while still staying informed about important account events.
If you haven’t yet enabled the new notification engine, the original post has a step‑by‑step guide. We hope these refinements improve your PeakD experience. As always, please share your feedback in the comments or in the peakd-suggestions Discord channel; it helps us prioritize what to build next.
