Cybertruck is ideal for Mars! Yes or No?
Yes, for sure!
-
It's cheap: For the price of any other proposed Moon/Mars vehicles, you can fill up a Starship with many Cybertrucks.
-
They are great off road: Many people are already driving them in off-road conditions similar to what would be found on Mars.
-
Electric: Being fully electric they don't need any other fuel. They can also run equipment or charge robots when on mission.
-
Features: It already has features like pressurized battery bay and cabin to keep out the harsh martian dust (regolith).
-
Self-drive: They can navigate independently given a location to reach.
-
Ultra-Hard Stainless Steel: It is made of stainless steel, which is highly resistant to Martian dust and doesn't require paint that could chip or corrode.
-
Range: They can go a long way, and fast, allowing much more investigation.
-
Load: They can carry a large load. Like Thunderbird 2, Starship could carry deck sized pods, and swap them out on the back of Cybertruck for different journeys. A tool pod, pressurized cabin pod, robot pod just to name a few.
-
Cabin Space: Cybertruck has a large cabin space making it ideal for transporting people and robots.
I wander when we will see the first one used on Mars?
