Hello friends,
Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center is a hotel and convention center located in Kissimmee, Florida.
I didn’t realize how huge the resort was until we came there.
Gaylord Palms is built around a 4.6-acre or 19,000 m2 glass-covered atrium, divided into four areas, each with their own activities and guest rooms.
St. Augustine is done in Spanish style. There are a wedding gazebo, a replica of the Castillo de San Marcos (North America's oldest fort), an alligator exhibit, and a display with treasures from the Spanish galleon Our Lady of Atocha.
Key West has a 65-foot (20 m)-long sailboat, which is designed around a seafood restaurant called Moor. We went there at dinner time. It has a very romantic set up. We saw a lot of big fish swimming in the water.
The Everglades is themed on the river of grass. In addition to Gaylord Hotels' signature restaurant, Old Hickory Steakhouse, The Everglades has a spa. I didn’t get to use spa, I wanted to but then got busy walking around taking photos.
Emerald Bay has 15,344 sq ft (1,425.5 m2) of meeting space and 26 luxury suites. There are also a few shops and boutiques can be found on the ground floor.
Coastal has 300 guest rooms including twelve suites and one presidential suite. I will show our room in another post, since this one is getting overcrowded with all the photos. As you can see this hotel is like a huge museum, it’s so big and full of interesting spots that no one will get bored here. Our kids were running around spring decorations (Easter Eggs), there was scavenger hunt for them with prizes and treats. They went once to the water slides, I didn’t go, so no photos from there.
