"Sal de mi corazón"// "Salt of my heart"

Quien diría que en la búsqueda de una buena playa para disfrutar encontraríamos un lugar donde abundaría un elemento tan interesante como lo es la sal. Y es que en mi visita por las tierras de Coro también tuve la oportunidad de conocer este lugar llamado "Salinas de las cumaraguas", espacio donde en comparación con las aguas la misma sal tiene un protagonismo aún mayor. Obviamente no es un lugar para poder tomarse un buen baño sino más bien para admirar y contemplar un proceso natural muy asombroso que no deja de sorprender en cuanto a la cantidad y belleza que se puede contemplar. Desde el primer momento que llegas a este lugar se logra visualizar la sal dentro y fuera de las aguas. También se percibe una especie de espuma en las orillas y en ciertas zonas específicas, en ocasiones también dando la apariencia de un gran paño blanco que se extiende por todo el lugar. Carece de oleaje, pero la serenidad de las aguas se complementa con la intensidad de los rayos del sol para así brindarnos un brillo que por momentos es difícil de sostener a la vista. Es un área bastante extensa, la cual permite a muchos visitantes admirar desde muchos ángulos, ya sea caminando o desde su propio auto ya que la misma se encuentra bastante cerca de la carretera. >Who would have thought that in the search for a good beach to enjoy we would find a place where such an interesting element as salt would abound. During my visit to the lands of Coro, I also had the opportunity to visit this place called "Salinas de las Cumaraguas", a place where, in comparison with the waters, the salt itself has an even greater prominence. Obviously it is not a place to take a good bath but rather to admire and contemplate a very amazing natural process that never ceases to amaze in terms of the amount and beauty that can be seen. >From the first moment you arrive at this place you can visualize the salt in and out of the water. You can also perceive a kind of foam on the shores and in certain specific areas, sometimes also giving the appearance of a large white cloth that extends throughout the place. It lacks waves, but the serenity of the waters is complemented by the intensity of the sun's rays to give us a brightness that at times is difficult to hold in sight. It is a fairly large area, which allows many visitors to admire from many angles, either walking or from your own car as it is quite close to the road.      Las autoridades locales junto con los habitantes cercanos al lugar son los que se encargan del debido mantenimiento y cuidado de las salinas. Incluso algunos trabajan en la extracción de la sal para luego venderla de manera ambulante en los alrededores de la carretera. Como anécdota graciosa les cuento que al acercarnos al lugar noté que en varios puntos de la carretera habían personas con algunas mesas en las que habían varios trozos rosados. Al principio pensé que eran dulces o conservas, algo típico del lugar, pero después me di cuenta de que se trataba de la sal 🙈😱 Debido al mismo proceso y ciertos compuestos de las aguas, la sal se torna con un color como de rosado suave, dándole una apariencia bastante única y que despierta el interés y la curiosidad de todos. En un punto determinado de las salinas hay una especie de paraje en el cual puedes bajar y tomar fotos mientras haces un recorrido más cercano. Aquí también se percibe la creatividad de algunos pues se pueden observar figuras y corazones hechas con sal. Realmente este punto de llegada no es tan grande, y para el momento en el cual nosotros pudimos llegar también habían muchos otros visitantes, por lo cual tuvimos que esperar un poco más de lo pensado para poder tomar fotos y contemplar más de cerca el lugar. Todo se encuentra prácticamente al aire libre, algo que si bien mantiene la esencia natural del espacio también te permite disfrutar de los rayos del sol que resaltan aún más las salinas. >The local authorities and nearby residents are responsible for the proper maintenance and care of the salt pans. Some even work in the extraction of the salt to later sell it in an ambulant way in the surroundings of the highway. As a funny anecdote I tell you that as we approached the place I noticed that at several points along the road there were people with some tables on which there were several pink pieces. At first I thought they were candies or preserves, something typical of the place, but then I realized that it was the salt 🙈😱 Due to the same process and certain compounds of the waters, the salt turns with a color like soft pink, giving it a quite unique appearance and that arouses the interest and curiosity of everyone. >At a certain point of the salt flats there is a sort of spot where you can get off and take pictures while you take a closer tour. Here you can also perceive the creativity of some people because you can see figures and hearts made with salt. This arrival point is not really that big, and by the time we were able to arrive there were also many other visitors, so we had to wait a little longer than expected to be able to take pictures and take a closer look at the place. Everything is practically outdoors, something that while maintaining the natural essence of the space also allows you to enjoy the sun's rays that highlight the salt flats even more.      "El hombre más salado del mundo" 😎🤭 Eso fue lo primero que pensé cuando al mirar detalladamente hacia las salinas, noté que había alguien dentro de las mismas. Pero no se trataba de una persona, sino de un muñeco que según su posición no sé si está pidiendo auxilio o está saludando con ambos brazos 🧐😁😅 Lástima que este muñeco no está más cerca de lo deseado pues de ser así estoy seguro que muchos ya tendríamos una foto familiar con un muñeco hecho de sal 😏 Esta creatividad también se percibe en ciertos detalles como flores y corazones hechos de sal que adornan las salinas de una manera muy particular ❤️ Un dato interesante es que en algunas partes de las salinas se forma una especie de superficie de sal un tanto compacta que te permite incluso caminar sobre ellas. Algunas personas suelen hacerlo ya en horas de la tarde cuando el calor y el sol han cedido un poco, mientras otros como los que trabajan en la extracción de la sal prefieren hacerlo en las mañanas. Por razones de orden y seguridad esto es algo que para los turistas no está permitido y pienso que, aunque sería una experiencia bastante especial, la medida en sí también es positiva ya que permite mantener la limpieza y el cuidado de las salinas 🙂 >"The saltiest man in the world" 😎🤭 That was the first thing I thought when looking in detail towards the salt pans, I noticed that there was someone inside the salt pans. But it was not a person, but a doll that according to its position I do not know if it is asking for help or is waving with both arms 🧐😁😅 Too bad this doll is not closer than desired because if it were so I am sure many of us would already have a family photo with a doll made of salt 😏 This creativity is also perceived in certain details such as flowers and hearts made of salt that adorn the salt pans in a very particular way ❤️ >An interesting fact is that in some parts of the salt pans a kind of salt surface is formed that is somewhat compact and allows you to even walk on it. Some people tend to do it in the afternoon when the heat and the sun have subsided a little, while others like those who work in the extraction of salt prefer to do it in the mornings. For reasons of order and safety this is something that for tourists is not allowed and I think that, although it would be a rather special experience, the measure itself is also positive as it allows to maintain the cleanliness and care of the salt flats 🙂      Siendo sinceros, nunca antes había pensado en un lugar así o por lo menos meditar en como sería ese lugar desde donde se puede obtener algo que suele ser tan común para nuestro uso como es el caso de la sal. Es como si la misma naturaleza te permitiera palpar desde tu propia experiencia un proceso que no deja de ser llamativo y muy fascinante. Estoy seguro que dentro de dichas salinas hay procesos naturales que pocos conocemos o entendemos, pero basta con admirar un paisaje como este para disfrutar de la gran variedad de productos que la misma naturaleza en su sabiduría nos puede ofrecer. ¿Cuánta sal se ha producido aquí? Quizás entre muchas preguntas, esta es la que más curiosidad me genera por la grandeza de dicho lugar. "Salinas de las cumaraguas" es de esos lugares que no llegas siquiera a imaginar hasta que te encuentras frente a ellos y te sorprendes de forma única. Una experiencia a través de estas salinas es una oportunidad de poder mirar más de cerca el producto de algo que puede ser muy común para nosotros, pero que en el fondo guarda algo todavía más especial 😊 Los mejores lugares siempre te dejan la sensación de querer volver, y sin duda alguna estas salinas son de esa clase de lugares que mientras vuelves siempre recordarás con mucho agrado y felicidad ❤️ >To be honest, I had never before thought of a place like this or at least meditate on how it would be that place from where you can get something that is usually so common for our use as is the case of salt. It is as if nature itself allows you to feel from your own experience a process that is striking and very fascinating. I am sure that within these salt pans there are natural processes that few of us know or understand, but it is enough to admire a landscape like this to enjoy the great variety of products that nature itself in its wisdom can offer us. How much salt has been produced here? Perhaps among many questions, this is the one that generates the most curiosity in me because of the greatness of such a place. >"Salinas de las cumaraguas" is one of those places that you do not even imagine until you find yourself in front of them and you are surprised in a unique way.
