We watched a concert at the Dubai Opera last Saturday. After the concert my husband and I agreed to walk around the area before going home. Beside the place of the event stood the Burj Khalifa. Soaring above the city like a silent steward. And rising like a beacon into the night sky. Even after countless visits its finest existence still made my husband and me pause in wonder. We couldn’t endure capturing the moment. So we came a pose with the gleaming Burj Khalifa as our background. The tower flickered in the shades of white. Its lights show off the surrounding skyscrapers and adding a magical aura to the night. We chose to pause and let ourselves simply be in the radiance of this splendid structure. The palm trees mounted us perfectly and for a brief moment, it felt as if time had paused, letting us fully soak in the beauty and energy of Dubai at night. We found a site ringed by stylish palm trees adding a natural chic to the city view.

We sat and watched the Burj Khalifa. We were hooked when it changed its color to a brilliant blue. The change was mystical. It's transforming the spire into a shining core against the night sky. My husband and I exchanged glimpses. Both of us were allured by the sudden beauty of the moment. We just sat in silence. Letting the beauty of the glowing Burj and the sparkling city around us sink in. We feel both amazed and glad in seeing this ever changing display together.

The Burj Khalifa rose above a group of bright high rise. Their lights glittered turning the city into a gem under the night sky. The background buildings seemed to sweep their brilliance. Their glow features the tower’s glory without overshadowing it. The city felt alive and mystical in that moment. The Burj Khalifa stood as the heart of it all. A bright beacon that seduced everyone who paused to praise its luxury.

As we got up to leave we took a selfie. We captured the memory of those peaceful half-hour moments spent watching the Burj Khalifa. The feeling of the tender comfort of the night and letting the city’s gleaming lights trap us. Even after seeing the Burj many times it never fails to impel, reminding us to pause, appreciate the beauty around us and treasure the extraordinary moments that make life so memorable.
